All Liverpool fans claimed he was a failure

ALL Liverpool fans????
I never claimed he was a failure!
Maybe I went for a p1ss when you were counting them all?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I will rephrase that as I over exaggerated,a lot of Liverpool fans on ja606 expressed their opinion on Martinez and a lot of comments and posts by Liverpool supporters called Martinez a failure.
Perhaps Klopp will suffer the same fate, perhaps his ambition is greater than the goods he may fail to deliver

If Klopp doesn't win trophies in his tenure then he will be classed as a failure. All managers of the top 6 have the same pressure apart from Wenger.

He promised to get you CL football, he didn't achieve it.
Was he a success?

He was a failure because he didn't deliver on what he promised.Everton under 3 season of Martinez didn't once qualify for the Champions league.
The clock is ticking for Klopp,so far he hasn't won the title, but he still has time on his hands as long as he still remains manager of Liverpool under the time frame he gave.
Namely 4 years
I see oppo fans and the linked article are moving the goalposts again.
Klopp never said he would win THE title in 4 years he said : "If I sit here in four years, I am pretty confident we will have one title,".
A title to every other country is a trophy, only deluded fans in this country think title automatically means the league.
If Klopp delivers any trophy within the next 2 years then his confidence was well placed.

Another 'lost in translation' by someone at Anfield.
Asked about the expectation on his shoulders, he adds: "Twenty-five years ago (since the last league title) is a long time. History is only the base for us, (we shouldn't) keep the history in our backpack all day.
I take it he didn't mean title as in league title at all
I remember his first interview and he definitely meant generic title not league title.
No surprise to see a bitter jumping on it though.

So did Everton fans.
He was Rodgers, but with a real tan and a decent accent
I don't think money, net spend etc really makes a huge difference in today's market. I think its get the players you want at the correct price to add to your squad because prices are ridiculously overinflated anyway.
Not to mention you don't need to see Liverpool "challenging" for trophies when he reached 2 finals in his first season (from October) and got to a cup semi final last year. Even with some deadwood players still in the squad then he managed to challenge for trophies now so no reason why he can't now either.
Good to see him putting faith in the youth talent as well. Players like Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold and Gomez really seem to kick on in his team, which I'm sure comes from a charismatic manager himself to guide these players through.
I don't think the Liverpool side is the end product that we expect to see from Klopp as yet, still some areas to cover and positions to fill but its fair to say some players have kicked on in the last 12 months or so under his leadership which is always a positive.
