The League Cup is a Mickey Mouse cup.
The Europa League is the Mickey Mouse cup of Europe (why I call it the EuroDisney Cup).
league Cup winners qua;ify for the Europa League.
Therefore EuroDisney Cup > League Cup.
I would like to see the following (in no particular order) to see how they are doing, but not all will play tonight.

I think Wenger should go all out for it and try to win it as he's never win a European trophy I'll be very dissapointed if he dont take it seriously.
Really don't get why so many in England are so against this comp, nor the arrogance in thinking it's somehow beneath your clubs. It's 10 times better than the poxy League Cup, which doesn't get anywhere near as much grief from the fans.
You get to give your second string much welcome game time for the duration of the group stage and opening knockout tie. Some will show good energy, form and commitment and maybe find their way into the first XI.
Then you have another knockout round that's generally doable and not too stressful with 7 or 8 regulars.
You generally only play your strongest XI as of the QFs (though, if you're lucky, you can still get a very kind draw here too), by which point you're just 5 games to a place in the CL group stage.
Pull it off, and you've added a European trophy to your cabinet in the process.

Yeah definitely play reserves in the group. Then if we get deeper into the competition we can assess where we are in other competitions. If we're out of domestic cups and fecked in the league, then maybe start playing first team
We even got an easy group hope goonersaurus plays in goal

As its a load of crap
So Arsenal fans would sooner their club qualify for a tournament they have no chance of winning(the CL)but don't want their club to take a cup they can win (europa league) seriously.
No wonder Wenger has clung on in the job for years with that type of logic

Please dont band us all in the same boat.
I don't understand how some of our fans have the audacity to turn their noses up at this competition. We aint winning the league, most AFC fans dont want the FA cup again, so what is the next biggest trophy we can win......Europa.
Koeman get it
It's a competition recognising failure.
Even the failures of the Group stages of the CL get into it.

Sounds like the perfect competition for Arsenal!
We are the 5th best team in England and dont deserve to be in the top tier of european football until we sort ourselves out.

its the reason we dont have lemar playing for us now, so players agree, same as why sanchez wants out
Lemar didn't come to Arsenal for one reason only - cold hard cash.
In the same way Pogba and Ibrahimovich gave up CL football to play Europa with Man Utd.
In the same way Hazard chose Chelsea over Man Utd or us.
In the same way Aguero chose Man City over every other club going.
he gets £2.5K a week at monaco, we reportedly offered up to $250K
I'd take 17th place in the league if it meant we win the Europa
In the same way Hazard chose Chelsea over Man Utd or us.

Chelsea had just won the CL.
Don't know why any fan wouldn't want to win EL. It's easy and fun

Ffs Digby, wake up and smell the coffee. After years of excuses and Wenger saying how close he was to signing this or that great player, you cannot seriously believe what you just typed.
As things are, and as long as Wenger and Kroenke are around, winning the Europa is just about your ceiling. Until at least one, if not both, of those are gone, you can kiss goodbye to the days of Arsenal winning the league.

£32m for the best player in the league. What a laugh.
Wenger needs to make amends for that awful performance in the 2000 final.
Probably the best chance of us getting back in the CL.
Not sure why Europa is a distraction. Squads are big enough and there are no reserve leagues. Its a good way for keeping players in form.

But when the inevitable injuries come if we're still in it we'd have to use the same players on Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon.. not good at top level football
