Dirty Martini shaken over ice, made with it is sublime.

Anyway

I'm getting luckier by the week on the PL predictor. I seem to score steady every week while the top scores change week in week out

Too be honest I have never got into it but watched the swimming today and it was truly inspiring!

Some guy won a medal and had no legs but had his wee kid on his shoulders when going up to pick up his medal, had tears in my eyes watching it

Every single one of those athletes are winners and an inspiration to everyone
----------------------------------------------------------------------

My friend won a Silver on power lifting midweek then a medal on basketball today/ last night

I won't post her name but we deployed together. I was fortunate not to be there when it happened

Yeah that would get me too. I can't watch it as I get angry though, when I think what they sacrificed for areas like "Basra" which are now deserted and recently under IS control. Futility of war and the cost families pay is sometimes tragic.

Defo mate. Have many friends lucky enough to come home safe. And sadly a few who didn’t. Make it back

Watch it

You don't get they feelings. You forget about the politics and just feel pride in the strength and spirit of the competitors.

You like many have friends and relatives who served. You can see just what it means to all who take part
