Negative United

As for the negative approach.
Yes I am one United fan who hated Saturday's game and was furious after the match with the approach. It was a pathetic performance by a top side with some top players on the pitch. For me you should get 0 points for 0-0 draws. That would stop the negative approach by certain teams. That is my opinion

Joses cult..

These plebs didn't rate Henderson until Mourinho told them it was a strong midfield.

Then Mourinho crying about how Klopp didn't change it so the Man U subs were useless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some on here were predicting they'd beat us 3/4-0 before the game.

I quite like the idea of that. It would be unfair on the smaller teams though. If they manage to restrict a bigger team from scoring, then they deserve at least a point for it.

Well either they were saying it to wind you up and they are utterly stupid. Liverpool don't lose like that at Anfield. As bad as we were we managed to get a point and that game out the way. Let's be fair Liverpool will win most of their home games against the bigger sides. Guarantee even city will struggle at Anfield and certainly wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool beat them

I can’t warm to this city team because it has been bought and is a crazy expensively assembled team. If they had one or two developed players in there I wouldn’t mind but the reality is often the cheapest player in their team is their goalkeeper who still cost them over 20m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Delphinho costs just £8m.

Hence I said often, with Mendy obvs being the first choice and there being rumours that you will get a replacement in Jan.

We earn more revenue than Spurs hence, we spend more than Spurs.
Spurs earn more revenue than Burnley hence, Spurs spend more than Burnley.
See the pattern?

Actual spend......no we didn't. Yeah well done you get rid of deadwood to make your net spend look better but you spent more

posted on 16/10/17

Yes but you linked it to revenue, so you've got to include it. As in, part of the reason we could spend that was because we sold what we did (which means that this seasons accounts will actually be a profit in terms of player trading).

Your point is valid, just for a different argument.

However we are far far more than you so therefore profit wise regardless of net spend on transfers we will still make much more than city

Pretty sure City’s net spend was still higher than ours, or near enough the same

I think ours was the highest however city like I say spent more and spent much more the year before. They have spent over 100m more than us the last year or so

posted on 16/10/17

You don't though because you are servicing the debt. Revenue wise you do, not profit. There is space there though that you could spend more if you wanted to, you just chose not to.

City's net spend wasn't higher than yours last transfer window, it was about 20 million less.

posted on 16/10/17

And pure spend, we've spent 80m more than you.

Let's just try to score more than them
=================

This tactic is awful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who the hell wants to score more than the opposition? Stupid way to play football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And to think Jose is also nicknamed the second season master, based on his achievements at Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real in the passed.

After the second season he brings turmoil and poisons the atmosphere at the clubs he has worked for before is finally sent out the door with a nice pay out. But at least our Manc friends have many a game of destroying small teams and going for master class 0-0's against serious opponents to look forward to the rest of the season, after which we can all watch City lift the trophy - deservedly. Happy days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As I said, City are everyone's second team. It's strange

posted on 16/10/17

I wouldn't say we're everyone's, Arsenal fans certainly don't like us. If we are, it's because we haven't got the rivalry yet with any of them to create an issue we're we to win it. That and from a neutral perspective, we are playing good football to watch at the mo.

I remember City were playing a friendly close enoyhvto where I live and there was so much interest in going to the game from Liverpool fans it was quite bizarre.

Even this season I was in a pub when the City Everton game was on and they were all shouting for City.

I know Everton are their City rivals but at that time they thought they could be in the title race so you'd think they would want a draw.

Only due to some dodgy-get your owners to sponsor you and inject a silly amount of cash- deal.

Still doesn’t take away from the fact that you have a disproportionate team/squad financially to almost every other footballing team in the world.

They played with 3 CMs who sat in front of their back 4.

They were lucky we had key injuries or we would have thumped them

Agreed, but do like Manc Pythons idea about penalising a 0-0 draw. How about 1 point 0-0 draw, 2 points any other draw, 3 points FTW?

The 3 points for a win rule was brought in to reward attacking football. But tbh, you cannot claim a 2-2 or 3-3 draw is the result of a lack of attacking intentions.

Dreading to watch the West Brom vs Man United fixture this season. 2 buses on one pitch.
