It's great for the PL:

Man Utd top of group A

Chelsea top of group C

Liverpool top of group E

Man City top of group F

Tottenham top of group H

Arsenal top of the morning to ya.

I think City have as good a chance as any (sadly)

City won't win it. Not good enough defensively

All 5 PL sides look a real threat this years.

We’ve easily dispatched teams that have caused us bother in the recent past.

Liverpool dominated Sevilla and should have won easily.

Spurs beat Dortmund well and drew in Madrid.

Chelsea beat Atletico away which is no easy achievement.

City have beaten some good teams also.

It's true. Nailed on the pl will win this year, Spurs v real and pool v Maribor have proved it. Undeniable. I've bet my house on a Spurs v Utd final.

Barca, Real & PSG i would be concerned about.

Not sure about Juve this season, and Bayern look slightly of it

I’d written off Barca before the season but they look good again.

Bayern could be a threat under Heynkes.

I agree Juve don’t look great. Can’t keep selling top players and expected to remain a great side.

Very good chance of an all English Champions League Final

Another 2008 ?

You can only ever lose these competitions by October, never win them.

Jose has rattled Conte with wumming.

Was just talking about this the other day Robb. I don't think English sides can meet each other in the second round can they? That means a lot of English teams.

I also think English sides will dominate the Europa now it has CL entry.

I reckon the powers that be will change it and let English sides meet each other early.

Spurs look strong having beaten Dortmund and drawn in Madrid. they could be dark horses this year. They also know they can beat City, Chelsea and United having done so in recent seasons.

That is 11 wins and 4 draws from 15 games now, it has been a very good start from our sides.

All can be very proud of their efforts so far...

United and City 100% records.

Liverpool top with their record away win.

Chelsea top, including a great win at Atleti

Spurs top, including beating Dortmund and nicking a point at Real.

The top european sides usually turn it on when it really matters. Since 2012, Most english sides have been found out when it actually matters

Op....i wrote an BEFORE seasons start explaining i expext English clubs to return to European dominance. Barca have declined and in the prem we have the best managers at the best clubs.

Foolish to believe no English club can win the CL.
In my view, any of them can. A bit of good fortune in the draw and before you know it you're in the semi final.

Sometimes, a name is on the cup.

Arsenals chances of winning the Ropey are slipping away too with Dortmund and possibly Atletico likely to be entering it soon.

I think PSG, not even sure who are favourites? Madrid I take it.

posted on 19/10/17

PSG always seem to find a way to implode when it matters, not sure if Neymar/Mbappe will change that but no one will want to face them that's for sure.

was thinking that too mike but they are getting early goals, like lastnight. And seeing out games by the looks for things. Tougher tests though. Would be good for the 5 english teams to get through.

Bottlers. Real had an off night, read nothing into Spurs greatest euro night.
