Of course it's good having both. It's just frustrating how Martial plays. He'd be a much better player if he could sort this area of his game. Because he's still an inconsistent footballer so relying on his one trick to work regularly isn't the best idea.
A coach that focuses on developing these aspects of the team and individual would really help him progress, which is why I hope we bring in an attacking coach.
I do get a nagging feeling that Martial's attitude could hinder his career, however.
I do too Darren unless he moves, which I don't think will happen. Most players that really make it to the top, they've had the right coach for them at the right age and it makes such a big difference to how they develop.

Matic had surprised me with his dynamism and tenacity. You need to put down the match thread and start paying more attention.
People writing him off because of Arsenal is daft. The problem at Arsenal goes deeper. Wenger is the issue.

Also there's not many players better than him at unlocking the door against stubborn teams.
For a reasonable price I'd get him in January. Give ourselves a boost and another option which will hopefully be a busy end to the season for us.

His entire Madrid career was under Mourinho - one of his earliest signings, and was sold on as soon as Mourinho left.
He was excellent at Madrid, and most of us were furious when he was sold.
That said, his lack of stamina and suspect performances in big games were also trademarks of his time here.
If memory serves, Mourinho shifted him out wide in some of the big games, and the general feeling was that this was one of the reasons for his underperforming in those matches.

I don't think the system is helping Mata though, I've been a big critic of his, however if you swap Silva and Matas teams I'm sure the stats would switch too.
Silva is a much superior player, don't get me wrong, but he's like in a system which compliments his style. Mata is playing for a manager who has previously sold him in a system which is more suited to a direct winger.

I'm not judging a player totally like that. In fact, I am doing completely the opposite by pointing out the how flawed Eric's reasoning is. You can't judge Mata solely on his contribution this season. Nor can you judge Ozil on this season. A more sensible method would be to look at their returns over the course of the PL careers. Which sees Ozil with a goal or assist every 1.80 starts, with Mata slightly behind on a goal or assists every 1.95 goals. The question is whether Mata's greater team work/ethic is more valuable to us than Ozil's slightly better stats?
Regarding Ozil, I think he's become stale at Arsenal, his heart isn't in it.
I'm sure he'd be a good addition to our team, firstly, he puts in a good set piece, secondly his distribution is far superior to Mkhi. Both are like having 10 without the ball too, so I don't know how either fit into the side in big games.
