Goodness me hot on the heals of his shocking performance at PMQ's yesterday I've just watched an absolute car crash interview with Starmer on Sky. As per usual he was critical of everything the goverment do but as Beth Rigby pointed out he has no alternatives.
I can't wait for the conference where the ridiculously under reported rifts within the party will be there for all to see.
I reckon Corbyn and Burnham will be the stars of the show.

😂😂 a leopard.
Beth Rigby is back in his good books.
Struggling to wrap my head around this one...
New Pew Research study:
1. More Americans favour than oppose the death penalty, with 60% of US adults favouring the punishment for people convicted of murder.
2. Nearly eight-in-ten of the same Americans (78%) agree that whilst the punishment is used, there will be some risk that an innocent person will be put to death.
By my maths, that means...
3. *At least* 38% of Americans favour the death penalty whilst agreeing that whilst the punishment is used, there will be some risk that an innocent person will be put to death.
I wonder what proportion of that 38% have thought through their answers to question one and question two and realised what point three actually means.
A couple more headlines:
A majority of Americans (56%) say Black people are more likely than White people to be sentenced to the death penalty for being convicted of serious crimes.
More than six-in-ten Americans (63%), including about half of death penalty supporters (48%), say the death penalty does not deter people from committing serious crimes.

I don't think Sir Kier will be providing GB with that feel good factor we got on that sunny May morning in 97.

Never liked him as a TV celeb, but I quite enjoy Russell Brands stuff on YouTube. Here a link when he debates Candace Owens... that combination is probably enough to stop most of you. 😂

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting observation from Brand around 5:14 mark where he accuses her of mistranslating what he said into something she can argue with because she can't argue with what he actually said. Something that is common with a certain section of the proverbial political divide and which I've mentioned on here before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I noticed that too, she also talked over him really quite a lot.
Jeff Bezos is socialist
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At one point Owens says that rich people like Bezos all want socialism so that no kme else can do what they did and become rich in the same manner.
If you think about that critically you'll find it's complete nonsense and to make a living as a political commentator without the ability to see the absurdity in that is simply astounding and incomprehensible. Some people don't care that Candace doesn't know her arris from her elbow so long as she says the right things the rest of the time when she's not producing brainfarts.
