Another factor - not included in those statistics is incidental Covid, the percentages are pretty significant when it comes to hospitalisations.
This is the difference between people hospitalised because of Covid, and people who get positive Covid tests when in treatment for other conditions.
I don’t want another lockdown either, it’s been nearly 2 years and we have to start living with this ruddy plague. The vaccines have been a good fight against it.

Another factor - not included in those statistics is incidental Covid, the percentages are pretty significant when it comes to hospitalisations.

My uncle actually said today at dinner that "The EU was a good idea, until they started telling people that they couldn't eat straight bananas"
On Christmas my nan was getting all uppity exclaiming that "every country wants to leave the EU, even Germany" and my grandad was claiming that "The EU only exists as a way to conquer Europe because we beat them twice"
I can't actually wait until my uncle returns to Dorset after Christmas.. if I have to hear his racist terms much longer I'm going to lose my shiiit.

I wish this was true and they weren't just pig ignorant.
My uncle yesterday bemoaned how hard it is to find presents that "haven't been made by bloody slopes" (apologies)
This is after he's been spoken to for use of the "N" word, and use of the "P" word, and claiming that we should sink migrant boats to the bottom of the channel "Kids and all"
