Or when she said she had her keys and passport taken away - if that meant they were trapping her in a house that's bad, if it was to collect them all to quick the queue process on a plane that's reasonable - no context is offered, deliberate omission.
I mean, I don't want to go on as its boring, but she is clearly trying to smear them for her own gain. How anyone can trust her when she is vandalising an institution to sound like a victim so she can get Netflix deals is beyond me.

This is of course true but obtusely fails to acknowledge that race has an impact on one's socioeconomic status and will continue to do so for some time if we keep acting like racism and inequality isn't a problem in this country
-----
In the wake of what's happened recently the UK seeks to appoint a commission to declare itself not a racist country. Some things never change.
The fact that they felt they needed to do so just says it all, and speaks louder than the report itself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thing is we're not a racist country and despite overt racism being more prevalent online now and having a PM who said that Africa needs to be recolonised and the other racial slurs he proudly put in articles... We are still a more equal place than most other nations
There does seem to be a fragility for some when race is discussed but I agree with some who say we have bigger problems
Briefing the media before the report is published so this morning's headlines are "Britain least racist" really doesn't solve anything. It's more "world leading" nonsense
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed.
The aim is to not be racist. Not pat yourself on the back because you're less racist than the USA or Russia or whatever other country.

She just wasnt particularly aware of what she was going in to
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh come on. Like she didn’t google Harry, didn’t realise she was expected to curtsy in front of the queen, like she thought they had a secret marriage when it was just a rehearsal?
She’s either one of the most stupid people on the planet, which doesn’t exactly make her accusations easier to believe. Or she is exaggerating and lying for effect.
Would have been better if she had stuck with the footballer plan.
I don’t know if Harry is pssy whipped or actually all of a sudden believes some of the stuff they’ve come out with but I’m less impressed with him tbh. Remember the hand tapping/gestures from her onto his knees? ‘No no no that’s not what I told you to say’ a very commonplace occurrence to tell off the silly husband but it certainly shows who wears the trousers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Holy crap.
This actually made me laugh out loud.

Meghan got a bit confused that rehearsal with the archbishop was the real ceremony it seems
Not sure its that important but made the news cycle
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It highlights that she is about as credible in her claims as the boy who cried wolf.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And would that make certain sections of the media who didn’t believe her the townspeople? Can’t remember what happened to them at the end of that story...
The point of that story wasnt that the townspeople were stupid its that lying has terrible consequences

It's not a shock children rebel, it's a shock when the adults cave in.
There is a great Lenin phrase later co-opted by Nixon.
"Probe with bayonets, if encounter steel - withdraw, if you encounter mush, then push."
Well, these children for the past few months have encountered nothing but mush, they are tearing through the soft centre of our institutions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Couldn’t agree more. Where’s Priti when you actually need her?
Bunch of marshmallow soft scoop pansies dealing with this nonsense.

Absent, much like at Batley.

I’m surprised and disappointed.
Interestingly on the uniform, my primary school tried to force my sister to wear a skirt or dress to school. -10 outside (and in more often than not) and all these lassies absolutely frozen as they’ve only got a thin pair of tights covering their legs. Luckily my dad was somewhat influential in education circles so a quick trip up to see the head and just like that uniform was no longer gendered.
I wore shorts all year round in primary school in Manchester.
I told a colleague that a couple of years ago and he didn’t believe me. So much that I had to text my mum right there and then for her to verify it.
