NEW: The independent review into rape gangs will directly link illegal migration to the abuse of British girls when published next week
There are fears within the Home Office that the report could spark civil unrest
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would be good if you could link it to see the bias of whomever wrote that and what their definition of "illegal immigration" is. I read about the latest r@pe gang and mist are dual nationals Brit/Pakistani, so should be easy enough to feport them once they've done their lengthy time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I should imagine they are people who have outstayed their visas and disappeared into the Black Economy.
There are 5 more similar cases to be heard over the next 2 years in Manchester alone, I genuinely fear Reform will appeal to more and more people here on the back of this.

I think people are incredibly naive if they think Reform aren’t going to be a danger in 2029. Reminds of me when people underestimated Trump in 2016. With rising tensions in the world prices are only going to go up and people will feel the pinch and want something different. Fascism thrives during times like these.

I think you overestimate their appeal to the centre ground, that’s where elections are won in the UK. It’s why the Lib Dems and Labour took so many seats off the Tories.
posted 1 day, 7 hours ago
Centre ground isn't a constant, it shifts. Right now it's broadly centre-left on economics and centre-right on social issues.
Reform are a cultish joke of a party, poorly managed, full of egotists, and worship Nigel Farage — but are topping the polls because their views coalesce with quite a big coalition of voters.
If they manage to improve their ground game and translate those percentages on a constituency basis they have a good chance of winning the next election.

As it stands, Electoral Calculus are forecasting a 76 seat majority for Reform at the next election.
I am sceptical of that in the sense that Reform are always one crisis from implosion and there's a good four years left before anyone goes to the polls, so they've managed to avoid the scrutiny a party looking for government normally gets.
But then again, Labour had very little scrutiny before they won because everyone focused so much on the manifold deficiencies in the Tories (which is fair enough, but don't be surprised now Labour aren't very good at governing either).
If Reform become vaguely competent and focus on the issues where there views are in line with the most voters — crime, immigration, social integration — and become less batzhit on economics, energy policy, environmentalism, and foreign policy then they will stop the Tories from any revival and become the main challengers to Starmer on the right.

4 years is a long time in politics too. Given what’s happening in the Middle East now there’s every likelihood that a combination of refugees move north to Europe and/or terrorist attacks happen due to western help in fighting Iran and their proxies.
What’s going to sell that quick fix of ‘we’ll shut the borders’ better than Reform appealing to the scared voter? As much of Europe falls to right wing populism I can’t why the UK would be any different.
I’m just happy to be in a country so isolated from the wield that even though we have our fair share of right wing idiots we would never have a reform party here ever gain any ground as the quality of living is high enough to not give them anything to cling onto as a talking point.

—❗️🇮🇱/🇮🇷/🇺🇸/🇦🇪 EXCLUSIVE: Israel has reached out to Iran through the United Arab Emirates, urging Iran to return to negotiations with the United States and accept a nuclear deal with zero enrichment on Iranian soil
According to an informed official, Israel's objective in the recent strike was a 'shock and awe' moment, which was supposed to prompt Iran to rapidly and voluntarily agree to give up its entire nuclear program without requiring further widespread Israeli strikes.
Iran has informed the regional nation (very likely the UAE) that it will not exchange messages with Israel at this stage, neither directly nor indirectly, and that Israel should not have started a war if they were not prepared to continue it. – Exclusive Sources

Police chief Mark Bruley told a news conference a short while ago that after responding the shooting at John Hoffman's home, a police sergeant proactively checked on Melissa Hortman.
When they arrived they discovered what appeared to be a police vehicle with its emergency lights on and an officer coming out of the house.
When confronted the individual immediately fired on the officers who exchanged gunfire and they suspect retreated into the home.
Bruley says this person was clearly impersonating an officer and not a member of police themselves

Sure they don't want rockets landing in their city, but the trade off for them is air superiority over Iran and killing their senior officials. They've been making gambles like that for 18 months — they always knew the cost.

BREAKING: A British destroyer was stopped by Iran
The Iranian Navy says a British destroyer that entered the northern Indian Ocean last night to help Israel’s missiles into Iranian territory was detected by timely monitoring by the Iranian Navy's intelligence systems, and the Navy's combat drones issued a warning and prevented the destroyer from continuing its movement towards the Persian Gulf.
The destroyer had to change course.
