Israel shouldn’t have fired rockets into Iran in the first place starting this war. The deaths are the fault of a hawkish Israeli regime who seem keen to flex their muscles for no other reason than to extent the greater Israel project.

On the flip side why are the missiles being fired from civilian areas in Israel? Isn’t that what Hamas are supposed to be accused of? Why is it okay for Israel to use human shields?

Scofield has been posting how Israelis are all for the death of Palestinians while completely missing the irony in him saying it given he is very clearly delighted by any Israeli deaths and comeuppance.

You are either upset/horrified by civilian deaths or you aren't, there isn't an inbetween.

Civilian deaths are always horrific but Iran are just responding to a declaration of war by Israel. If Iran continues to bombard Israel like Israel are doing to Gaza then it goes from ‘a right to defend itself’ to something even worse. But we’ll see how it escalates (or hopefully doesn’t)

Agreed. Iran have agreed to have independent nuclear watchdogs visit their country whereas Israel has never even admitted they have nukes which we all know is a lie.

I don’t want Iran to have nukes and I doubt Arab does either but with what Israel have in regards to their Samson option it’s really irresponsible for them to have their own

It isn’t about what the Iranians are doing. There’s nothing new there, and they were actively engaged in talks with the US.

It’s about what’s happening in Gaza and the West Bank, international sentiment and the evolving diplomatic response to that (the same day the Israelis attacked Iran, the UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to demand an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza), and Netanyahu staying in power so that he stays out of jail.

Respectful of your hatred of any civilian deaths but let's not forget the collective punishment that's left 56,000 FIFTY SIX THOUSAND dead Palestinians and who knows how many more buried in the rubble.
The Iranian regime and the Israeli regime are 2 peas in a pod, they don't care about their people, all they care about is who is the daddy in the region regardless of cost, they should have an old school battle of their best, trial by combat, winner takes the title and the normal citizenry can get on with living their lives.

Just to add to this, a top-level UN conference chaired by France and the Saudis on Palestinian statehood was supposed to be happening between 17-20 June.

Nothing Iran has done in recent weeks or months has triggered this. The bloodshed in Israel and Iran is all collateral damage in what is a purely distractionary tactic.
