I have already said this before but the Dems currently don't appear to have anybody at all lined up which is concerning. Michelle Obama would walk it but sadly it doesn't look like she wants any par of it.

But outside of that the Republican base is growing while the dem base isn't. Reps have been banging out children for fun while dems haven't been.

How do I know, my inlaw nieces and nephews have seven children already in 8 years, that is only two families. Probably going to end up with the 5 kids having 20+ children, all church mentals as well.

I think it is a recent thing though isn't it?

40 years ago family was a big deal, now not so much. Loads of people, particularly professional career people don't want families and certainly not big families. Women professional numbers are far greater now as well presumably. Career before homebuilding.

I suspect it will become more pronounced in the coming decades. The political map is crazy as it is. Every city Blue, the rest of the country mostly red
