He should be serving the full term and then deported and reported to Ethiopian authorities to ensure he is on their radar so that he doesn't do it again. Alternatively, they could have made an arrangement with Ethiopia for him to serve most, or a significant portion of his sentence in an Ethipioan jail.

Well you were looking at things as a deterrent and decided the existing punishment's insufficient to deter someone?

The other side of this is the effect on the kid/teenager.
Before the police got involved, she was the kid who offered a migrant a piece of pizza and he put his hand on her leg and tried to kiss her.
Since the police got involved, she's had to go to court, and's the kid who was the victim of the country's most wanted criminal, in a story that's headline news.
Is this not going to cause more mental harm to her/be a bigger issue in her life than if he'd have had a stern talking to by the police, given a warning, required to go on some kind of sxe offender training course or similar, and moved away from the area?
You could wonder if peoples' lust for vengeance is more about them than it is those directly affected.

It's not that great an expense, stop exaggerating. You realise we are talking about a guy that abuses children, no expense is too high for me.

Your own comment is the best evidence that deporting him is useless. He's been to Italy and France, probably abused more kids before this one and you want to let him go free because of your taxes.

Honestly, what a little piece of sheet you are. We are nit accommodating him, he is serving jail time and should be kept in jail as long as possible and measures taken when he is released.

You can write to HMRS and tell them to take it out of my taxes in particular. You don't have to pay. They'll still get your money another way anyway.

Foreign prisoners can usually serve the last 50% of a prison sentence in their own country anyway, it's actively encouraged to save money.

It seems he tried to get back in the prison several times as he actually wants to go home.

The prison guards kept turning him away.
