There is no beating around the bush and pretending everything is fine and dandy. Ali has been absolutely s** pretty much all season. Can't seem to control the ball and runs into blind alleys far to much. He seems to have lost the ability to release the ball and just fumbles about with it. He has scored a few goals but it papers over the cracks on how poor he has been. I do like Ali a lot and he's a super talented young player but there is no 2 ways about it, he has been w*** all season pretty much.

Come on he has been pivotal in a lot of big matches this season. Madrid, Liverpool and Dortmund. Give the young fella a break, he aint superman.
His form hasn’t been as good as we’d want it to be, but he’s not the only one. He’s not being playing as high up the pitch consistently as last season and our attacking play generally suffers when Dembele isn’t available, as statistically proven last season.
Aside from that, he’s 21. The only 21 year old I can think of who never had a dip in form at that age is probably Messi. Even Neymar was inconsistent at that age ffs.

Well yea there’s a comment literally 2 comments back from yours saying so
Spurs fans annoy me sometimes. When everything is going well they are fine, first sign of anything bad and the pounce on players berating their form.
It’s not too long ago (18 months or so)that Verts was getting stick from fans, now he is one of our most consistent performers. Dele has had by his standards a poor season so far, except for his CL games.
Yet as pointed out by others, he has had to play a different role in light of Wanyama’s injury, playing deeper than normal and having to cover more ground.
He is only a young lad and quite a few years off his prime.

He's been poor all season greaves. It's not just a few games mate. I don't see why we can't demand our players do atleast the basics with the ball and at this moment in time, Ali is going through games not even being able to control a ball properly. He's been poor all season and that's a fact. I'm certainly not "turning on him" ... have already stated he's a great talent but he's got to step up. That's probably why we as a club we don't actually win anything because even the fans accept failure
