Old Years Night eh! A time for reflection for some.

Anyone remember their first post on BBC/JA?

I think I do. Like many, I would have been following for a while, and then took the plunge. If you don't do any other social media this can be bit of an eek moment.

Can't recall the game. Or my tentative comment.

But I do know that it was View who first said hello.

Maybe 12 or more years ago........

Just noticed the anomaly. Pointing it out in a very friendly, and uncritical way. And hope no offence taken Heb.

You claim the Hebling is staying with his in-laws. If so he must be married already. Hoe old is he Heb? maybe he is staying with your in-laws? Surely that is more likely.

Heb, if you are having problems with storm Dylan does that mean that a hard rains going to fall?

Only three more months and it will be light during the day.

All fine here Spart. Dylan is northern England/southern Scotland I think. Just a bit blustery here...........

I think my first tentative approach was late at night after a game and I was welcomed in and given a hug by Igor. Things aint been quite the same since.
After such a long time, and a rigorous vetting programme, I think of you all as my friends, even though there are many I have yet to meet in person.
So to my comrades, I wish you a very happy and healthy New Year and we all get what we really want in 2018.

I remember my first comment on the BBC site. I was vidalslastapostle then, like a caterpillar yet to metamorphosise into its adult form. I forget what I posted but I was warned by a certain Mapread to “be very careful” of some on here. Wise advice indeed.

I don't recall the site being run by the Russian Mafia Vidal! Still, you never know.......
