India done a Pakistan special here. Bowl well but bat poorly.

The slightly extra bounce makes a difference.. Cape town in by no means quick..Bit like England ina way. India can press forward on the front foot to spinners and seamers in India it does nothing..You play with the bat in front of the pad in South Africa or England all it takes is a little bit of movement and it catches the edge..

Was a tough pitch to bat on. Both teams struggled. 1st innings became the difference imo. India’s top 6 is too brittle for these conditions.

Grande this was a tough pitch. SA scored 65/8 today. They were lucky that they had 66 from day 2, otherwise 80 all out in most likeliness. Anyway Shoudk make a few changes. Get Rahul instead of Dhawan/Vijay. Both looked pretty crap today and in this test match. And Rahane instead of Rohit. I am not also sure what Saha’s role is in the team. If he is selected purely based on his wicket keeping then he needs to get the axe. His batting is worse than our 11. When Ashwin and Bhuvi are giving a better fight back than him then we can probably find someone else. Parthia Patel might not be a bad shout. He can sure score more than him.

The only thing I am not sure of is whether we should go with 5 bowlers. Our batting looks too brittle, but also part of the reason why we restricted SA to a low score was due to the 4 pacers.

This will be a miracle to come back from a 1-0 loss Now.

The only positive that I can take was our brilliant bowling and the fact we were competitive against what on paper is a fantastic South Africa side. A real shame that Steyn got injured because on paper that quartet of Rabada, Philander, Morkel and Steyn is by far the best in world cricket.

The BCCI need to take a good hard look at themselves. No warm up games and the players have only been in Cape Town for barely a week prior to playing the first Test. That is nowhere near enough prep time.

Agree with you Viru, Rohit and Dhawan should make way for KL Rahul and Rahane. I really don’t care how many double ODI centuries Rohit hits - for me he will never be a Test player. Also for those Indian fans moaning about Pandya, hopefully they’ll give it a rest now because he was pretty good as was Bumrah on debut. The problem is the batting - they need to stop playing daft shots out there although like I said a lot of the blame can be apportioned to the organisers of the tour. On another positive note at the very least it’s good not to see a touring side getting smashed for once as this has been the theme far too often.

Yes Kiwis have been playing competitive cricket for the last few months but this shambles. the lack of competitiveness from Pak bastamn is despicable.

As for India - need to prepare themselves better with some tour match practice and also getting used to to life in south afica rather than going straight into deep end.

Grande, I agree that this was their best chance. Bcci and our players are to blame. Usually we tend to see players/bcci giving rest to the players in some of low, meaningless matches. But they decided to inflate their odi averages against a SL side which to be very frank we should have played our U19 team.

Will Pak cricket team even win 1 ODI v New Zealand as Pakistan needs a massive improvement to even make this ODI series competitive.Woeful performance by Pakistan especially by Ruman Raees.
