Viru,

Fair points there and if it wasn’t for kohli the match would have probably been over by now. Still think it could go either way, saffers will need 300+, there’s plenty of time left in the game...

I don’t agree with you on the pitch though.. saffers players (think its smith mainly) questioning the grounds man because there’s no home advantage. Saffers shouldn’t be playing into India’s hands by preparing such a pitch... the fact the ashwin got through 30 overs on the first day at centurion is ridiculous.

Ultra flat pitches are pointless I don't think this one is.. Sa will still win.

Lmao even Williamson is destroying Pakistan's batting line up

Think it’s time for Malik to retire

Another hammering

Malik is a constant failure abroad... man averages 10 in NZ.....Time to drop him and bring in new blood with WC19 in mind

Big wicket or too late? Guess the next 20 overs or so are crucial with du Plessis and de Kock still to come.

SA will need a 250 lead minimum.

Fantastic test match so far

That's a poor dismissal for SA and now both of the set batsmen are gone. Opens the door nicely for India.

SA throwing this away

Great over from Shami there!

3 edges, 3 fours. 4th edge in a row and out!

Really strange innings from De Kock there

That is brainless from de Kock, got lucky 3 times with some streaky fours before deservedly getting out.

De Kock is woefully out of form

Went for the Moeen Ali approach of smashing his way into form.

Going for a 4th when you have been lucky 3 times when you've just lost a wicket and your partner was dropped the previous over.

I do love bravery, but there's a fine line between bravery and stupidity.

Still, lead is now over 200 and SA have 5 more wickets. India's inability to remove the tail means they'll probably get another 100, putting the game out of India's reach.

SA back in control now.

posted on 16/1/18

Not sure SA were in control before the wicket, was a bit of a strange session of play. After both players got themselves in after the quick 3 wickets, they should have looked to play a bit more positively.

Another couple of quick wickets now gone and SA's lead is only now above 240 with 3 wickets left. Du Plessis will need to be a bit more expansive now or India's chase will only be around 260 and they'll want to get it above 300.

The way the pitch is behaving though, probably in SA's favour. I know it's not a traditional SA wicket but still, only Kohli is in any kind of form.

287 to win for India then. Probably a few too many on a fifth day pitch.

Good job it’s the 4th day then

287 to win for India.

I know Kash but into the last session of day 4 - majority of this will be played tomorrow (unless of course India old today which I wouldn't bet against).
