I'd have liked to have seen a 4-3-3 with Coquelin, Wilshere and Ramsey in midfield.

Not the greatest quality obviously, but it has a bit of everything. With Ozil given a free role on one of the wings.

Not perfect, but it would've given us the best balance we can get I think.

Ozil has actually been a lot better for you when he’s been coming deeper though.

Cazorla is such a miss for you guys. Brilliant footballer. You don't have anyone near his class in the centre of the pitch.

What Wenger was thinking trying to replace him with the Swiss Charlie Adam I'll never know.

Tu Meke, yeah probably looks your best bet for a balanced team.

I have no real issues with Lacazette in general play, I just wish he was a tiny bit more clinical. Has missed chances you'd expect a striker of his rep to score.

Yeah, but he usually gets a decent shot away and tests the keeper, or not miss by much. So hopefully it's just adapting to the league and the goals will come for him. Not the best time to join the club and try to fit into the team but I like his attitude and work rate.

Very little finesse there though, Tu Meke. Not one of those can hit a decent pass over about 20 yards.

Not a big fan of Xhaka but surely we can get more from him.

Except we've just sold Coquelin Wenger just wants his 35M love child in midfield.

Yeah for sure, I hope it's just teething issues. We haven't had a striker who can create chances for himself for a while, unless we include Alexis' brief spell there.

Wilshere can tbf, look at his assist for Alexis vs palace. And Xhaka can too, but I'd prefer Wilsheres ability to dribble out of pressure (as Xhaka is a carthorse).

And Wilshere's a crock so it'd never have happened often anyway.

Arsenal need big changes in central midfield. I think that could be said of many top sides around Europe actually. Seems a problem position for many.

Very rarely see it from Wilsh, though, and that goal vs Palace was more about a brilliant touch than the pass.

Even this season, he's got goals against City & United, and assists vs Spurs & Liverpool.

He's easily better than Morata and Firmino, probably better than Lukaku.

Who is the most blue chip, though?

Yeah, all the best central midfielders are stockpiled at the top clubs, and even then the selection isn't great. I'd say fabinho is probably the most realistic quality cm we should be going for.

Yeah but the pass was still made Chris. He has it in him. Ifs buts maybes though, nothing will change till Wenger leaves/dies.

I'd also like to see us give niles a try in cm. Think he's more concerned with looking flashy than actual defending though.

Yeah, true. Guarantee Coquelin tears it up at Valencia

Coq won't get in the team.

We're having similar problems in cm. Need a ball player in there so Pogba can play further forward.

If Zaza can, Coq will.
