in the words of Shannon Briggs to Wilder "who you beat champ? - who you beat Beyonce?"

its total madness, he shouldn;t be able to get away with ducking anybody who might beat him! - I was will Ortiz to beat him just so we can get the belt from that yank coward ! - he can do what he wants then, get in the with Peter Buckley if he wants!

I'm not surprised that Thurman has vacated. Clearly he is still recovering and doesn't want to be facing the top tier guys in less than 100% condition.

Weird comment considering a) porter is crap & b) garcia’s had loads of tough fights. Very good fighter & very under rated

porter is solid enough been beat every time at the highest level though but has some solid wins, alexander, broner, diaz, berto, hardly cr&p

So basically you agree with me, Domestic level not world level, Garcia is world level. Thurman/Spence elite level

Wilder's team apparently has made a $50m offer to Joshua to fight him in america
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Find that hard to believe.

Why would AJ take 35 million pound offer when he can make a lot more at wembley and I doubt wilders team have that much money to offer.

------------------------------

I totally get what you're saying, but I'm sick of this fight being about money... lets just get it on, too easy for fighters to hide behind the money aspect so they don;t have to fight.

I'd rather then just say 50/50, for the first fight, then 70 / 30 to the winner in the rematch. who can refuse that? - if that offer / deal was made nobody could run scared !

Wilder has 40 fights, 40 wins and 39 KO's it screams of "I want to finish my career on zero losses", sport is supposed to be competitive. ducking people who might beat you isn;t sport! - he won;t go near Whyte because he knows he might get beat!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
wont happen but I wish when it came to unifacation fights the made it a mandatory 35/35 split with the winner taking the other 30% or even 40/40 with the winner taking the other 20. Something like that then there would none of this A side B side pi$h.

I think people have a dislike to Garcia for two reasons. One is his d!ckhead of a dad, the other is the two gifts he got (ok only really one against Herrera) I had Peterson winning against him but it was a close fight so I can let that slide. Herrera was a clear gift though.

Danny actually comes across as being very decent to be fair.

ps 115-113 on all three cards is not the difference between world level and domestic.

I actually had the Thurman - Porter fight closer than the Garcia - Thurman fight.

I fancy Porter to beat Garcia assuming Garcia doesnt KO Porter. good close fight that I edge Porter on.

Why would a fighter like AJ agree to an equal split when he is the one bringing the larger interest and carrying 3 world titles.

The whole 50/50 idea is great in theory but like communism, it diminishes the opportunity to elevate the everyone around you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didnt say agree read what I wrote please. I said it would be better if unification fights were just mando splits of 35/35 with an extra 30% going to winnerso the winner takes home 65% of the split.

I dont give one iota as to which person is more popular, i want the better fighter to get rewarded and using this method provides that. It will never happen though.

Think floyd built himself a lot better than aj. A couple more dull fights like takam or Parker and his appeal will diminish imo

posted on 27/4/18

I think Floyd kept his appeal because everyone hated the guy for his flashiness and because of the way he fought. They all wanted him to lose and would turn up to see his fights right till the very end.

With AJ I actually think his lure is slightly waning atleast in the UK . He's dull compared to Floyd. Ticket demand despite what Eddie says has dipped. You also can't keep putting on stadium fights and expect the appeal to stay the same. Eddie should put him on at the 02 which I believe he's thinking of doing next.

Takam fight wasn;t at all dull, Takam just doesn;t go down... he's a total machine, anybody else who took the shots Takam did would of been unconscious, we'd all be saying what a vicious KO that fight was.

Parker was dull for the casuals granted. I think he needed to show off that side of his skills though

Delboy totally agree ref AJ vs Wilder and the purse.

why would AJ take that purse split Guv?? small amtter of taking wilders belt... when sport turns to money rather than achievement, its a slippery slope

I will reiterate, why would AJ agree to that?

The fact that it is mandatory doesn't remove AJ's ability to agree or disagree. He could turn down the unification and drop the belts. The belts hold value but guys like Floyd and AJ can generate revenue without titles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
please read what I am saying IN AN IDEAL WORLD !! the fight split is determined without any say of the fighters much like happens when an opponent gets a title challenge from a mandatory spot.

Remember when Groves forced the commission to give him the rematch under mandatory rules this then meant he was on i think it was 25% split for the rematch. It was something Froch laughed at him for as he would have got the rematch anyway but by making it mandatory he cost himself a fortune.

Agree talks of splits are boring it's obscene money being banded about. Fans want fights not to be accountants.
