Let's leave them to cry themselves to sleep now. They will go to bed tonight knowing their fake hollow club is still not one of the true Big boys.

See?! There you go again! You are only a fan, nothing else. You can’t actually take any self-reflected glory or moral fulfilment from it, you’re not a child anymore, are you?

Connor is unsparing in his attacks on United. He frequently highlights the difference between the enormous present riches of the club and the lack of compensation paid to the victims' relatives, while he also points out that a £90,000 appearance fee paid to the ex-United star Eric Cantona after the Munich testimonial game in 1998 was almost double the sum given to each of the families from the proceeds of the event. It is no surprise, then, to find that Manchester United refused to co-operate with this book.

I think you'll find real Mancunians would never mock the tragedy itself but I don't see why mentioning what's happened since should be taboo.

“... Jackie Blanchflower, the Northern Ireland defender, was the first to suffer from United’s ill treatment. When it became clear to the club that Blanchflower would never play football again, the club soon cut ties with the man from Belfast. First they withdrew his taxi rights, a crippling blow for a man who struggled to walk after Munich

Next, Blanchflower was evicted from his club accommodation despite his wife being heavily pregnant at the time. The Reds were quick to cut away those players who were no longer of use. Blanchflower wasn’t the only victim of such ill-treatment either. The Reds withdrew rented accommodation for all the survivors who couldn’t play football again.

Johnny Berry was evicted from his club house and was later fired by United through a letter. Albert Scanlon, another survivor badly affected by the disaster played with United for a short time in the aftermath of Munich before being transferred to Newcastle. Busby allegedly told Scanlon that if he ever fell on hard times Busby would help him out. When Scanlon did turn to Busby, his pleas seemingly fell on deaf ears. Anger at Scanlon’s treatment still affects Albert’s family.”

I've been to OT, Maine rd and the Etihad to watch the derby and heard "munich" chants at all of them so stop giving the BS.

Also seen vids online from Mary D's where you're all chanting Munichs this and that.

Real Mancunians my backside. You've got fans all over the City and surrounding areas just like we have. Oldham and Rochdale are crawling with berties. Stockport as we know always has done.

I'm from down south though apparently so what would I know.

OMG! Does Aguero really mean this much to Man City?
Every team has a bad night but this looked like more than just a bad night. Be interesting to see how they put this behind them in the next couple of weeks.

Again though the City team bus was that badly damaged it can no longer be used.

That’s so Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

One or two mindless idiots outside the ground throw a bottle at an inaminate object, ie a door on a bus, and Uefa need to look into it.
A few weeks ago, live on BBC TV, dozens of city fans rip up seats, and hoardings, and launch them at the police and stewards.
People in glass houses shouldn't throw hoarding, coins, and ripped up seats, never mind stones
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The coach was so damaged it couldn’t be driven and two police men hospitalised.

And it was more than a few idiots.

To be fair, the linesman’s calls were quite key. Even 3-1, I think we’d have a chance. Now, I think it’s game over.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree that the linesman had a poor evening. But City didn't deserve a win, draw nor a goal. Zero shots on target speaks volumes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A good goal disallowed incorrectly called for off side proves just how stupid that comment was.

The BBC are saying with VAR it would have been 2-1, don't know why people are saying the linesman didn't influence the game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s wumming plain and very simple, anyone who watched the game could tell you about the offsides

I don’t understand the rule that you aren’t allowed to talk about it.

It’s a matter of history and one of our very own perished that terrible day.

The behaviour of united and some of its fans has been atrocious.

Jlou1978,
What if a piece of your property was so seriously damaged that you could no longer use it? And the police then told you not to be outraged because your property was an inanimate object damaged by a couple of idiots?

You would probably find that comforting, wouldn't you? Your comment is definitely the output of an inanimate idiot!
