I do like in Rick and Morty when they sh't on time travel storylines

I think Dan Harmon took more from Doctor Who as the series progressed though

I agree with NPE regarding WW84 (still prefer calling it WW2).

I liked the main villain. I liked what he was about and it shows that they've finally learned that big CGI monsters belong in movies from 15 years ago, and that audiences want character driven plots.

I diverge from him though in that I thought much of it was poor and it completely moved away from what made the first film so good - a strong female lead. In this one WW spent much of it pining for Steve Trevor rather than being that strong character we were introduced to. It felt almost dis-empowering (is that a word?). I can only imagine how girls must have felt seeing their hero reduced to that.

Aside from the plot holes, I felt it lost what made WW special, which is a shame as I really liked the first one.

I see what you're saying but I think it was the way it was presented. It just felt off to me and then his return also felt....weird.

Always happy for studios to take risks but for me it felt like they didn't do that with this character and it made a fascinating character uninteresting
