It's actually Sauron's ring. Frodo's mission was to destroy ut but he almost failed, such was the temptation it brought about and the urge he had to put his finger in it.

I read a plot line of LOTR done in the style of Conan n it was grate

They'll use modern animation style,like the anime's of today's age. Akira was great but it's animation style is very much a reflection of its time period.
