I couldn’t give a shiiit where he goes, as long as it isn’t us.

Don’t want him, don’t need him.

Unsure why been 1 starred as I’ve not said anything controversial and it was a genuine question that I was interested in hearing the views of other fans lol

You asked a question and I answered it. Why make claims you can’t back up?

100% would have him back. Any Spurs fan that wouldn't want Bale is clueless in my opinion. The guy is still a world class player and under Pochettino's fitness regime and leadership, he could really turn his career around.

What claims did I make that I’m not backing up? Why does it feel like this is the start of some sort of bi-polar convo lol

“Why so angry, so early”.

You’ve implied that I’m angry based on answering your question.

Bale's injury record is abysmal. That is why he's out at Real Madrid. When he does play, he is one of the best.
But he would be an unwelcome risk. At his price and salary Levy would not even think about it.
He left when he left and he stays "left".

Go ask Levy what he thinks, Don.
That will be your answer!

I didn't think his going there would be a great success as I certainly don't if Kane decides to go. Now very few players and I do mean very few if any are successful when going back to a former club i.e. Keane to us and Pogba to Man Utd. The motto in which I take a great belief is never buy back, so a resounding NO.

I guess it maybe a 60/40 leaning towards steering clear of this transfer which is fair enough.

My only worry is that the board may actually want to sign a “marquee” player and show intent like how we always wanted them to, but in typical Spurs fashion we sign a crocked and past it Bale and it backfires on us spectacularly 😭

Injury prone, very expensive, possibly over the hill?

Got our name written all over him. Ed will be doing cartwheels trying to sign him for Utd.

You won’t be able to afford his wages.

We will. Probably double them and then some. To get about 3 games out of him. #the new Utd way.

I’d rathe have Martial tbh although if it’s a choice between bale and no one I’d take bale.

Why would he leave a club like Real Madrid who constantly challenge for titles and Champions Leagues to come back to us? I do not see it in the slightest

While I agree I don’t think Madrid actually want him anymore.

They’ll be looking at hazard and another striker this summer imo which makes bale most at risk.

If it was solely up to him I’m sure he wouldn’t but it’s out of his hands. In some ways I’m surprised he’s lasted as long as he has tbh.

Was he really that good or did we overrate him?

If I was given a choice I would no rather take a chance if possible with Ryan Sessegnon aka the “new bale”. He is showing massive, massive potential. So I’m a no to Bale if it was a choice between him or Sessegnon.

The age/fee/wages/ability ceiling/impact on team morale if Bale suddenly becomes the highest wage earner is in favour of Sessegnon for me.

Only thing is signing a player of bale stature the other players will be over the moon with.

We all know Rose thoughts on most of our needing google to know who they are signings. Good chance it wasn’t just him thinking it.

We are not paying Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Jan, Toby & Lloris competitive wages... what on earth makes you think we can pay Bale who currently makes 200K+ a week !!!!!!!

I never claimed we were. I was simply asking on the opinion of others if they would be for/against ffs!

Don't need him?

IMO this sort of player is the difference between winning stuff and not.

We've come up short over and over.

The next tier below is the likes of Zaha, Martial et al and the likes of Sessegnon would be a long way off taking Spurs to the next level.

I get that he's perhaps not the same player we sold BUT in terms of players of that quality, there are very few that we could genuinely compete for with other clubs. Bale has emotional attachment to Spurs, we have first refusal, it is more likely to happen that any other mega star!

If it did happen i'd be delighted

Only a handful of clubs can pay what he wants and offer what a player in his prime wants at this level, I'd be so surprised if he did, but at the same time buzzing
