I, personally, want the villa to win at Wembley and get promoted, we have to think beyond that...
It’s good to have the city of Birmingham represented in the PL.
There were once 3 clubs (going on post code) now there could be none!
We should look at the villa as our best chance of representation in the PL, somewhat like a caretaker manager, until the representative-proper; us, is finally promoted back to where we belong!...

Depends on many factors this game but I think we gave Villa the blueprint on how to defend against Fulham and Villa have better players to counter than we did. Fulham are a decent side though but don't think they're as good as the hype ....

The Seals are destined to spend many more seasons in second tier football while the mighty Baggies, under the leadership of Big Dave, will achieve automatic promotion at the first attempt.

OK You become wealthier and get publicity but the Championship is a fairer and more exciting league if we have to be in it.

Next season is going to be tough. None of Baggies, Stoke or Swansea are exactly falling apart, even though they've fallen short in the PL. And there are plenty of other teams around who are good on their day.
Can we afford to keep Bruce? Given the fact that we'll have to do some, possibly a lot of, rebuilding, I don't think we can.He's had great opportunities, and he's fallen short.

OK He has 'failed' but he hasn't done much wrong overall. We finished one place off a legitimate promotion place and lost both Grealish and Kodja for long periods.

That's not saying we wouldn't have had a fighting chance of doing so with the other 12 relegation candidates but is that what we want? Maybe so?
We have derbies against the Blues and Baggies which will create more interest than games against Brighton and Bournemouth and others.
Whatever happens we have to start again in August and see what happens.
Hopefully the kids will come through as I would rather go that way than buy in foreigners.
Whether its Bruce or not who cares we are Aston Villa Football Club and we are what we are. Supporters won't go away because we are not in the Top League.

Andy, the problem I have is that, although we've enjoyed a pretty robust defence this season, further forwards its been something of a mess. We have good players, but we don't go out to dominate the other side either in midfield or further forwards. We're simply never set up to do it, and that's wrong.
Think it's got a lot to do with why Adomah has been less effective as the season has worn on, why we take ages to string attacks together, and so on. Bruce responds by sticking 3 centre forwards on for the last 20 minutes or so. That's pointless if we're not getting the ball forwards. Why didn't he stick on Bjarnason, who can build attacks from deep?
If he stays I can't see that things will improve, and maybe with losing some players it'll get worse.
