I think Lukaku has been better than Matic, who started well but has faded. I’m not convinced he makes us much more solid in midfield; he’s often invisible when teams are strolling into our box. He’s been OK - definitely not garbage but no way our best outfield player. I’d give that to Lingard for his spell of super goals, or Valencia for consistency. Uninspiring, but there you are.
Lukaku has helped solve last season’s issue of burying teams and has been the best signing of the four - so far.
Matic - 6 on par with what we knew we were getting
Lukaku - 7 improved from Feb time and had a very difficult time mid season
Lindelof - 4 doesn't strike me as a United player. Wouldn't be surprised if he were sold or loaned out this summer. I think there is a good player in there but the move was too soon for him.
Sanchez - 5 great performance vs spurs at wembley with little else to shout about. A lot is down to setup and personnel though, he is seeing or trying things a yard quicker than some others. Hopeful a rest this summer will see him back to his best.

Lukaku reminds of United as a whole season’s analysis - Okay, not too bad. But could do better as has been frustrating at times and a let down at other times.

Sanchez has been awful tbh and we didn’t get one over on City by getting him, they were always going to win the league with or without Sanchez. We’ve just lumbered ourself with him and he’s missed out on a PL title, pointless
Lindelof, he looks scared and anxious when ever he’s on the pitch. Matic has been ok, nothing more, nothing less, could have saved some cash and just played Carrick as he wouldn’t have been any worse.
Lukaku I don’t know, I thought he was better in the second half of the season but I’d love to see a breakdown of his goals. It seems he scores lots of goals which don’t make much of a difference to the overall result, like we still would have won even without his contribution.
I don’t think he’s done anything as a CF Rashford couldn't even given an entire season, regardless of form, playing through the middle.
