128.5 overs, so well under 2 full days

Yeah...can't see us batting past three sessions to be honest...once we get these out of course...or they declare

Just watched the latest Jennings drop on BBC live text. Absolutely inexcusable. If he'd at least stopped it but fumbled it, it would've been bad enough, but missing it entirely? Blimey

Bumble just remarking..."hope he has a box on"...

that could've been fackin painful...he must've felt the wind rush by his nuts

Haha yeah. To be fair a catastrophic teesticle injury would at least force him to be dropped

If it’s due to rain on Wednesday you gotta ask why India are still batting.... England got no chance.

posted on 20/8/18

Yeah they could've declared 200 runs ago and it still would've been too many. Still, with 2 days left you can hardly blame them - I don't think it's going to rain much on Wednesday. Not enough to stop much play, anyway.

Imagine if England actually chased 500 that would be quite something.

We all know obviously that they'll fold for under 200 though. They'll have all but given up on this match already, and I don't think any of our batsmen have the grit to bat out a full day, let alone 2. Not even Cook seems up to it at the moment.

We'll lose at least one wicket tonight and it'll be wrapped up by tea tomorrow

posted on 20/8/18

Yeah agree. Just seems a bit odd especially given the conditions at the moment seem favourably to seamers. Assume will be declaring over 500 now

500 lead passed. Maybe he's letting Pandya get his 50. Not sure what other relevant milestones there are to wait for

India have declared. Squeaky bum time for Cook and Jennings, at least.

I think that England will reach 350 but still lost by 150 plus runs which will still be a thrashing by India. All the match lost due to dropping Sam Curran which was a travesty and a blunder in my view!

A fantastic day for us again. Shame we didn’t get a wicket in those 9 overs. However all it will take is Cook and Joe “50 and out” Root’s wicket tomorrow and no doubt England can collapse like dominoes again. Bairstow is also not 100% so positive signs. Really hope it doesn’t go to Wednesday.

Reckon we have this in the bag. Would love to see a Kohli double. Can’t get a better chance. In Southampton if India manage to bat like they have in this test we are up for a treat.

Viru remember the nonsense all the people on here spouted before this tour about Kohli not being able to bat here and continiously bringing up his average from his sole tour here

Being shut up well now.

Yeah 😂😂. He is simply the best. Twice this series he has scored 200 runs in a test on pretty difficult pitches where pacers have been eating batsmen for breakfast. Pretty incredible.

He is only 8 years in his test career and has 23 100s and 16 as a captain. This guy doesn’t feel pressure at all. He has matured quite a lot as a batsman. Can see him scoring piles of runs on those flat Australian pitches (you would infer this given he has scored plenty of runs this year on very difficult pitches)

Never seen a batsman benefit from so many dropped catches like Kohli has this tour.

posted on 21/8/18

Kash that speaks volumes of England fielders more than Kohli 😂😂. Regardless luck is part and parcel on pitches that are very difficult for batsmen.

One thing that has been equally matched is the slip catching this series. You would think it doesn’t get worse until we see another dropped catch.

I predict England will last less than three sessions of the two days left, no way this is going into wednesday

If on the other hand Cook and Jennings stay in bat until lun.....

no I had it right before....

posted on 21/8/18

Sheriff. If it goes it will go quickly.. There is no fight in this 11.

England will have to think of who will partner cook in the next match if Jennings doesn’t fire. Not that cook is in good form himself. England will certainly miss Bairstow’s batting in rest of the series if he gets ruled out. Only top order batsman who has scored in this series.

Inside most rated Kohli....what people post is more to do with banter and winding people up.

Take Kash for example. Guy slates India at every oppurtunity, but inside..deep inside..there is love

Back to the game - It shoudl gfinish today. Really don;t want to chance the weather and if India win the next test...it'll be a nail biting lats test. About time we had a series like that

There was never a doubt in my mind that Kohli would score big runs in this series. It was always going to happen. Not just because he's a phenomenal player (which he obviously is), but because whenever England come up against a star batsman (Kohli, Williamson, Smith, Amla etc), that star batsman ALWAYS performs.

I dunno if it's because England get fazed by the big name or whatever, but it always happens.

There was no doubt in my mind that England were going to put a performance in like this. When the other side bats first and puts up a decent score, we produce a pathetic collapse.
