Five mistakes over so many games? Therefore a massive improvement? Although I don't remember five glaring mistakes. Can you list them?

Refereeing performance tonight was shocking, which I even called before the match. Luckily it didn't cost us.

I like VAR even though some idiot gifted France a non-existent penalty and some other idiot thought rugby tackles are legal.

Short term pain for long term gain.

I agree. I think it's splitting people down the middle though clearly. I'm definitely not a fan. Hate it.

just let the ref decide. Refs decide on VAR, so what has changed? It good to come home from football cursing the ref for your defeat. Its whats being a football fan is all about.

If you're cursing the ref for a defeat then there's a major issue, hence the referees getting help and the improvement on that not happening.

The trouble with VAR is it’s subjective as opposed to GLT which is definitive. IMO there’s been far too many questionable pens given already this WC & some blatant not ala tonight.

Problem is...we still are. Only now it's at the officials on the pitch and also the ones sat in a studio in Moscow in tonight's example.

How on earth have all 3 match officials and the VAR team missed both of those Kane challenges?

Fans of VAR are in denial. Its not been a success at all. The bundesliga have already voted to stop using it I think I have read this week. I can see why.

I am coming to the conclusion that some of the FIFA big wigs have money invested in the success of VAR, seen a poll last week in which 67% of fans did not want it.

It is necessary but big improvements to it are also necessary.

There's an image going around of a rugby tackle on Kane and they have likened it to a wrestling move. Says it all.

VAR fannyboys. It’s not right for football, the most fluid and subjective team sport in the world. Nice idea, but it’s never going to work.

The bundesliga have already voted to stop using it I think I have read this week.

Yeah I hate the fact that something has been implemented to reduce the number of glaring errors and blatant incidents of refs bottling it as it means I don’t get to complain about refs poor decisions costing my team the result

I like it.

It is not perfect by a long way, but it will surely improve with more use.

I would like punishments for sheit performances though - they had a chance to make a name for it tonight and melted. Full kit wonkers
