However, his penalties were sone of the best I’ve ever seen, he led the line pretty well, decreasing as the tournament went on, and was a great part of our success.

But, it’s one of the most unworthy golden boot awards on types of goal scored.

Not really, he disappeared when we needed him. Not like lineker who delivered in the SF at 1990 by taking his chance, or like Shearer in 96 who scored crucial goals in knock out games. Kane just winning missing completely.

Disappointed in Kane cause I know he's better than his goals suggest. His goals lately have been more quantity than quality, and I'm talking about for Spurs too. I want to see more of the kind of goals he scored against Chelsea.

His hold up play was pretty good, got a lot of praise after the sweden and Colombia games.

I'm guessing this article wouldnt exist if he had scored in the Croatia game, so if you're gonna base him being the worst golden boot winner of all time because of one botched chance than ok I guess lol

A goals a goal, if he had scored low quality goals for just one season then it would be a cause for concern, because you don't know how much of it comes down to luck.

I think we dont need to worry about Kane's goals drying up, so as long as he keeps scoring I really couldn't care how 'good' they are.

Salenko in 94 was worse - scored 5 goals in a nothing game

Worst golden boot for sure. Not knocking him as he's the best striker this country has, but he has been poor and we'd have all scored a world cup goal had we had the chance to take 4! penalties
