I’m sure he won’t care in the slightest

It’s a shame that tribalism in our football has removed so much common decency and basic logic.

I can only assume that tribalism is the reason for English people trying to knock the achievements don England’s best centre forward.

The OP is probably on the wum but for people who agree with the sentiment, I suggest you take a long hard look at yourselves. I cannot think for a minute that any other country would react like this to their player winning the golden boot.

I faced a penalty shootout today and saved 3 out of 5, another hit the bar. Not as easy as you think to get it over the line when the pressure is on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you get to 4 missed shots in a penalty shoot out? I would be over after 3 ? Unless your team were missing them as well

He was in goal for the warm up in his kids under 5 league.....

OP is attention seeking - Leicester are now an irrelevance again, and Kane sealed a previous golden boot with 4 goals at their stadium.

I’ve got no issue with Kane, he’s easily our best striker. But it’s difficult to argue with the main points of the article. Look at all the recent winners of the golden boot, they’ve all scored goals against far superior opposition than Kane has, and during the knockout stages.

I understand that Spurs fans want to defend their own player, but there’s no arguing that Kane didn’t step up to the plate when it really mattered, in the semi final of the World Cup. You could argue his case if he hadn’t had any chances in that game, but he did, and it was a gilt edged chance too. If he scores that, the doubt is removed, even if we didn’t go on to win the game.

Assuming that he wins the golden boit at the world cup, Harry Kane will have achieved personal glory in each lf the last 3 seasons without winning any trophies at club or international level.

I can't think of any other player that has won so many golden boots without winning a trophy.

Is Harry Kane a team player?

The point is not so much if it’s valid, but why write it?

Why have a pop at Kane because he’s won the golden boot? He’s not going around telling everyone that winning it makes him the best striker in the world, is he?

Any other country would surely be pleased for their man.

By the way, you’re also talking nonsense.

2014, James scored his goals in the group phase and 2nd round. His only other goal came from the penalty spot.

Have you analysed his chances in each game, as you’ve done with Kane vs Croatia?

Of course not.

It’s like the old saying goes - a prophet is never honoured in his home town.

That was the case with arro. The guy is on another level. Only the other day we were chatting about Sumerians having created the earth or something. I tried to explain his visions on here but got it wrong, here’s what he said to me on FB the other day (I’ll let him speak for himself)

‘Let me explain something so if you want to say something about me you can at least get it right 😉

I'm not into any kind of new religion and I've read nothing about Mayan prophecies. I'm interested and intrigued by history and science.

The Sumerians were the oldest civilization on Earth to have left a trace and they speak of the Annunaki, superior beings from a planet called Nibiru (see NASA updates) and they describe who created us, why and how. That along with everything else I've learnt over the past four years has meant I've proven myself wrong, God does exist, he is a tall man with a beard and the stories in Genesis were actually true, just grossly misinterpreted.

You can laugh as much as you want but I know the truth behind our creation and in the future, you will see what I do with that knowledge. Keep an eye on Africa's development, particularly Uganda (for now) over the next few years and remember this message as the continent develops because I'm the one behind it.

A genius will often find themselves labelled crazy, by idiots who don't understand 😋’

Wasn’t it a penalty?

Seems to me that you’re moving the goalposts, after agreeing with an article that plays down penalties.

Without checking, I would imagine virtually all of the Golden Boot winners got the majority of their goals during the group stages. Difference is, most of them topped these up with at least one goal in the KO stages, when the pressure is on.

I’m not sure why you have a problem with my point, I’m hardly attacking Kane, I’ve already said he’s our best striker, and if he played for any other team, I’m guessing many Spurs fans would be making the same point.
