Biggest sign of where Jose and these players are will be how we do against Spurs

Balls... Anyone can lift themselves for that

Routine games like today are where we're at and what he gets from them

dunno, if the players have given up on him then I doubt he’ll get a performance out of them.

No it isn't.

We could beat Spurs and then lose to Burnley.

You think nobb would have figured it out by now.

VC
In fact that would actually be fairly likely, given Burnley are another team who will work much harder than us all over the park

If win you manage to win against Spurs but then lose to Burnley, Jose should just pack his bags and go

The players don't needotivation for next week, their own reputations rely on it. OT will likely be rocking, they've just lost a gimme so the manager need not say a word.

Nah not in big games

Look at the fight against city last year (once he allowed them to attack)... Then rolled over for west brom a week later

They don't believe in him, and he doesn't believe in them either...

He's spent all week saying how none of our cbs are good enough and he's forced to play Lindelof on the left... Lo and behold our cbs today have a shocker

His man management used to be brilliant... Now its his biggest problem

Madrid ruined him with players

I've pretty much landed myself in the Mourinho out camp. I can't stand the passivity of our play without the ball and the tone it sets for the rest of our play.

It's outdated, it's terrible to watch and when I look at City, Liverpool, a potentially reinvigorated Chelsea and Spurs, I can't help but think we're in a real dog fight jsut to get top four this season. The unrest surrounding some of our most talented players is also a concern.

I said before a ball was kicked that top four might be a struggle.

You could see things were not right in pre season.

You could see it last season never mind preseason

Even before the seville game we were turgid... Since then there's been an air of negativity hanging over the club that has got steadily worse

Even finishing second was odd as we were awful more often than not... Performances like today are almost the norm... We'd lots of them last year that were as poor but we got a result... The signs have been there a long time

I try not to read too much into preseason - especially an interrupted one in a WC year - but I agree. I found Mourinho's immediate whining and getting his excuses in early to be quite telling. I said a few weeks ago that this pre-season had a bit of the Jose/Chelsea break-down about it.

The next manager will have issues too. A non football guy like Woodward making decisions and a squad with a pretty high number of players not good enough.

Shame as we have such potential with all this money at he club.

As Shugs says you can probably go back to February ish.

One of the things I can not stomach is a lack of effort to win a 50 / 50 ball.

Jose in

Jose out

Jose shake it all about

You put your Jose in

You put your Jose out

And that’s what it’s all about

Nobb,

The players are good enough to play high tempo football, be it the more attacking variety (Liverpool/Spurs/City), or the more defensive variety (A.Madrid).

I'd prefer the former, obviously. It doesn't take a genius to get a team playing like that, and we've the players to do it.

If we win trophies in the process, that's a nice bonus.

I disagree about a high number of players not being good enough

I think we've plenty of talent... Getting the best out of them is another matter tho

Probably they don’t want to risk injuries, Jose hates it when players on the treatment table

posted on 19/8/18

Agree Shugs. In defensive areas, I don't really think we're strong enough right across the back line but there is plenty of talent further forward. Not that we play in a way to utilise those strengths

Short of having a team transplant then no one will get us challenging.

Well, tbf, you're wrong. You're not alone but you're wrong.

The likes of martial etc have connef people into thinking they are good players being under utilized, truth is they just aren't very good.

Are we suppose to blame the manager for them making the wrong decision tine after time.
