Lots of your fans wanted Giggs Pre Jose..... Now's your chance !
None, because none are better than what we currently have.
I guess Giggs is an option, see how he does for a season.
Not certain he'd walk away from Wales right now though, must be a reason the bookies have completely ignored him.
and what are you basing that on stretty?

for me it needs to be an arm around the shoulder type of manager rather than a hairdryer or publicly slate your players type of guy.
Lou Macari said the other day even Fergie would struggle with this squad and the game in general because those type of managers do not work anymore
Let's not start with Stretty, I wanted a genuine debate between Utd fans.
Does anyone know whether Zidane speaks English? For me, there's a doubt about whether he's a great manager or was just the right man to hold together the best squad in world football because of his uniquely respected position untouched by the politics and cliques at Real Madrid. It seems to me that part of his job there was to not to intervene too much, and he met that challenge deftly. But at United, he'd have a much bigger rebuilding / re-educating task on his hands.
I'm open-minded about him: he did a great job and his stature would create a buzz, but it doesn't seem like a risk-free appointment. However, if on top of those reservations he doesn't speak fluent English, it would start to look like yet another ill-considered appointment.

I felt Fergie softened up a lot in his later years. The players always loved him.
He never treated the players in public the way Jose does, he protected them always before himself.
I would give it to Carrick until the end of the season, and have a long thorough search for the next manager, perhaps in conjunction with a new DoF. We'll have some short term pain most likely, but the club could start getting things in place for the new guy to take over next year.
Personally I like the idea of Jardim. I would also have Poch in a heart beat, depending on how he does this and whether or not he'll get money to spend next summer, he could be tempted to leave. I get that he has a project at spurs, but if he feels Levy isn't prepared to fund it with the new stadium etc. then I feel he will go.

Agree with this, like you said I am open minded too.
What he does have is the ability to level with the players and he will immediately gain their respect. I think any player would love to play for Zidane.
I've read comments from the man himself suggest he is a man manager, a motivator and not a world class tactician, but he hires around him to cover that aspect.
I'd be excited by his appointment, without any confidence that he'd turn it around.

Busby, I agree with all of that, but again I'd want to know about his language skills. It's much harder to be a great man manager if you're communicating through a translator. Also English football culture is very different from that of the Latin countries where he has played and managed.
