Word is Lolly and Grabban in contention, may look to rest Murphy after starting the last two.

If true my team would be

Steele

Darikwa Hefele Fox Robinson

Osborn Watson

Dias Carvalho Lolley

Grabban

Defence looked far more assured with Steele behind it against Newcastle than it has done so far with Pantilimon IMO.

Assuming Byram’s knee is worse than first feared with this Swiss right back signing on loan?

Another three forwards left the club today. I hope that doesn’t leave Forest too light. Jan could be a long way away...🤞🏼

Karanka must have some faith in Gomis and Appiah thatbthey are capable of making the step up this season.

Bridcutt maybe earned another go too. He was a busy beaver in the middle and Watson seemed far more on his game. Maybe that was a coincidence?

Will be interesting that, Steele is a Karanka signing whereas Bridcutt isn't.

Maybe, but Karanka can’t afford to be pig headed. Bridcutt played really well on Wednesday and it should put him in the manager’s thoughts.

Matchday. Can the Reds pick up where they left off against the Geordies?

Hope Hefele gets another chance, he was deserving of man of the match against the mardy toon army

Pretty much agree with that side. However, also agree it could easily be:

Steele

Darikwa Hefele Fox Robinson

Bridcutt Watson

Dias-(Cash) Carvalho Lolley-(Osborn)

Murphy-(Grabban)

A big shame about Byram, but Darikwa looked good when he replaced him.

Janko has played a fair amount of games for someone so well travelled. Should provide decent competition until Byram is back.

Murphy had been scoring without playing great until the Newcastle game. Hopefully he is recovered as despite all the faults I have laid on him, he deserves to retain his place.

Looks like strong competition for starting spots across the whole XI has really drove the players to up their game and play to their potential.

I could see us shocking the Bees. Newcastle named a much changed side (with just four starters from the home loss to Chelsea) and of course were away from home. However, it was the manner of the result that should give us confidence, in that respect, barring injury or fitness issues, I think they should all retain their spots.

2-1 to Forest. Carvalho and Murphy for Forest. A Bee for the Bees.

I’m going 2-0 to Forest and a first away win. Hoping that the confidence gained from Wednesday will pour into this match.

And summer has returned with a vengeance. 😎

Hefele to score today and I fancy Cash for another.

Hoping Lolley is fit to play. He is looking like the go to man to make things happen offensively down the left. He has also had the lyrics to the Chaka Khan classic “Ain’t nobody” amended to fit his name. An instant terrace classic!

Need some kind of German related chant for Hefele too. Probably a tough ask for English football fans to sing anything positive about our Deutsch friends but we need to have a go.

“Take my breath away” by Berlin could be amended to

“Watching every ball
Into the Forest box todaaay,
Watch him dominate the forwards
Putting them to shame,
Tackling and controlling
Wearing the Garibaldi with pride
Watching in slow motion
As you turn around and say
Michael Heffffffele!”
Michael Heffffffele!”

It scans and has a German reference. Perfect.

that doesn't seem to rhym to me..you better sing it?

Good effort Will. Don't give up the day job just yet.

I'm usually happy with a point away from home, but this is one we could win. They really need to get themselves up right from the start. Coming so soon after the midweek win they must still be buzzing.

I'm expecting the changes only to be made because of injury.
