Chances are he's violent to kids 3 years younger than him because he was brought up in a violent household himself, where the big ones hit the small ones. Undoubtedly you were bullied at school, that's a shame, but violence towards children doesn't solve anything, it just becomes a self perpetuating problem.
Turning up on the doorstep with a massive knife and threatening to cut Tommys dads throat in front of Tommy and his mum might spark them into resolving it though.

I was bullied? How the feck do you come to that conclusion? My older sisters were the only bullies in my life, and the only reason they got away with it was that I was taught by my folks never to hit girls.

Caning is still legal in Singapore and they have some of the lowest crime and best behaved/highest achieving school systems in the world.
