Next year:

Kepa
RJ Rudi - Emerson
Kante Jorg/kova
Pulisic RLC Mount
Abraham

With pulisic RLC and mount getting 20 each in the pl...

So we aren't planning to buy anyone...?

When Abraham scores 30 this year no need sheriff.
Maybe mbappe on the bench

posted on 3/9/19

But yes, CB is a must for me. But depending how abraham goes a striker too.

No space for CHO? Or do you think he's going to leave?

Definitely going to need a CB to partner Rudiger by the looks of it.

I'd still buy a top striker because Michy & Giroud are likely to leave.

We'll need a winger or two because Pedro & Willian should be saying goodbye too.

I think Mount, Pulisic and CHO are all interchangeable and Frank will rotate the combinations of those three during the season. And those combinations may be linked to when/if RLC plays.

Completely forgot about CHO tbh, jeez.
But yeah the unknown of him staying, the injury etc.
But yeah they are all interchangeable which is the joy with this current team.
I include kovacic and kante in with this as well.

Admittedly I've seen very little of Tomori but he looked very promising in his first PL start. Have a feeling there might be a lot more to come from him. Hopefully in a Chelsea shirt.

Will be interesting to see what CB pairing Lampard settles on, especially once Rudiger is back

Yeah it's difficult to call at the moment but I'm not going to bet against it eventually being Rudi + Tomori.

I was surprised it was Christensen who was dropped for our last match.

No surprise at all ,Frank is experimenting all around, and rightly so.
Of course, we will see some interesting situations arise ,and we might have some daisy days, but then ,that's part of the expectation this season, maybe next as well.

Hold onto your seat and enjoy the ride.

Indeed Harle, looks like there will be plenty of chopping and changing this season to give everyone experience and a chance. Exciting times and something very different to what we're used to. Like it or lump it

I meant why drop Christensen over Zouma

posted on 3/9/19

All I can think is might be a hit to Zouma's confidence? Is Christensen more comfortable on the right and Tomori on left?

posted on 3/9/19

I actually thought xouma was good at the weekend, or atleast better, the goal was a shame. But it’s typical him sadly

I actually thought Tomori looked pretty assured at the weekend - he could be a bit of a surprise package this season!

Brum much the same mate, I actually feel norwich, leicester and sheffield utd the two CBS in and of themselves were not bad, but with no kante and azpilicuetas form it is too easy for teams to get in around them and get dangerous balls in.

posted on 4/9/19

We mostly need stronger leadership and direction at the back, hopefully Rudy will provide this.
Yes, I also think Tomori is a future stalwart of the club.

posted on 4/9/19

Hopefully. DIdn't he get derbys poty?

posted on 4/9/19

Yeah he did Nick. Not bad considering they had Mount last season as well. I didn't watch Derby much last season but obviously Tomori must have something about him. Definitely want to see more of him.

Looked like Tomori has two good feet, as in he can play out with both right & left foot. Looked far more comfortable in possession than Zouma.

He's got the pace so can play the high line. I'd be tempted to partner him with Rudiger. We have two difficult games in the league after the break though - Wolves & Liverpool.
