on Romelu Lukaku: “His moment is not sweet. Not just with the goals he is not scoring. He is not linking well with the team, but he is our striker. We believe in him."

No we don't.

------------

Looking at our next 4 games, that will likely be 2 wins out of 11 games come mid-November. I think that could well be crunch time for Jose.

.....

What do you expect with Matic, Pogba and Mata.

There are idiots on the match thread that actually said we put out a good team, before the kick off.

I kid you not.

If there ever was an abundantly clear message to the board to say ‘our CBs aren’t good enough - this was it.

The shame is that he’s spent £60m on Bailly and Lindelof and they’ve both not delivered.
He’s also got plenty of too top quality players not performing either so who’s to say Varane or Alderwield would not do the same?

ED needs to take responsibility for his managerial appointments and step sideways into a purely commercial role. Jose needs the sack

I agree.

We needed Fred and Perreia in there to put pressure on them , they had too much time on the ball.. why can't Jose see this? Matic is good defensively albeit slow.

Luke shaw said in the post match that they gave them too much respect in tbe first half.

Missed the part he said we have no attacking options on the bench and missed fellini to change our approach.

If we actually pressed, won the ball higher up the pitch and attacked with pace, there wouldn’t be quite so much pressure on the centre halves all the time.

What impressed me most with Juve is how good the fullbacks were at A) defending and B) supporting the attack. So fluid and great link up between them, the MFs and Ronaldo.

Our fullbacks aren’t technically good enough to play that possession based football with good link up, and they can’t even bloody cross! Shaw is doing ok to be fair, but miles off the likes of Sandro

Watch Jose praising Chellini and Bonucci in his post watch. Now that is having confidence in your defence albeit they were not really tested.

Utd shpuld everything they can to get Allegri. I cant think ofanother manager in world football who would fit Utd better.

Big club experience
Managed big names
Won loads
Plays good football
Solid tactician
Builds teams
Gets the most out of players (Cuadrado is a poverty footballer for example)

Mourinho: "Mr Bonucci and Mr Chiellini could go to Harvard to give lessons on central defending. Fantastic, absolutely fantastic."

Thought we might see Herrera tonight, albeit it would always have been alongside Matic and not instead of him. It might have made some small difference; who knows?

I must admit, for various reasons I've been restricted to the radio and highlights this season (and, of course, the indubitable authority of ja606's finest), but since the back-end of last season I've been struggling to work out what Matic actually does. He's supposed to be a defensive midfielder, but the more the opposition come at us, the more anonymous he becomes. There were periods of 10 and 15 minutes tonight where he simply wasn't mentioned.

This is the first time in decades where we had zero attacking options on the bench as well. Jose...whatever.....but he doesn't have a worthy side to pick against top teams. We're a good team, good enough to achieve mediocrity, like Arsenal has been the last 10 years, but now it appears as is a half-dozen PL teams have caught up with us. Jose or Fergie can't win silverware with what we have on the pitch. It's like the good old Big Ron years. Maybe an FA Cup run is in our future. Ed needs to go to an embassy or something and disappear for starters.

the saying a good workman does not blame his tools applies

mourinho constantly say how the other team has better tools (players) to deflect from the fact he is an inferior manager. How much as he been given to spend, yet he is constantly fawning over other team's players.

One might almost say that the more money he is given, the more problems he finds?

I saw his thread. There is at least one buffoon who agrees with him as well.

Lindelof had a good game, not a superb or excellent one.

I actually think man utd were a tad unlucky tonight. Ad a Liverpool fan I like seeing them lose but I have to be magnanamous enough to admit you guys were ok tonight

Sure Klopp Liverpool were even more outclassed against Napoli lol.

posted on 24/10/18

Liverpool were in a CL final more recently so Scholes Ferdinand Hargreaves make too much out of the game. We could easily have drawn and if anyone just watched the 2nd half they would have thought Juventus were the small team playing for a draw.
