What's everyone's favourite Scottish Premiership team and why?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dundee, because they've given me many many happy memories and I've forgotten any bad memories they've given me.

Probably about right as it stands but if Scots clubs had access to the same funds then a few would be comfortable Prem clubs

Would people be against a British Super League? Where the top UK teams break away and form a separate league. Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and Dundee. Joined by Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottningham and Man City.

How good would that be?

We have league 2 standard like St Mirren but also CL standard like Celtic/Dundee. That's what makes the Scottish Premiership so fascinatingly shìite.

Comparing leagues in England and Scotland but ignoring the gulf in finances is the wrong way to go about this IMO. If your aim is to gauge where spfl teams would end up compared with their English counterparts you simply cannot ignore finances. The powerhouse teams of the Prem have that status because of their spending status, much like Celtic in the spfl. These teams couldn’t maintain their positions without the financial backing. I suggest looking at the quality of player on offer. Who does your team’s superstars in the spfl compare with in the PL? That would surely give a measure of the level your team could perform to in the English Prem?

The common argument for wanting Celtic and Rangers in the Premier League from fans is to get access to higher funding. Ask yourself this, would you really give up the spfl and all its quirkiness for the higher earning potential of the epl and all of the pressure which comes with that?

Let's not forget that Dundee were recently champions of Britain after beating Man City comprehensively in a meaningful association football match relatively recently.
