He looks a really talented player, but not at the level needed to push Chelsea up there with City. I think there’s also a worry with signing players that look good for Dortmund. Most fail elsewhere.

Yup pretty much.

Just look at Klopp!

.Especially as he missed another sitter the other night for Spain ,from TWO yards !.

Apparently this guy is better than Lukaku
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Difference is we all know Morata needs upgrading on, you genuinely believe Lukaku is good enough for United

Lukaku is better than aguero...

Jesus... Get help
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I firmly believe that Lukaku is better than Aguero. Yes Aguero scores goals, but he plays for a better team. Aguero can't bully a CB like Lukaku then. Put someone tough like Prime Vidic or Prime Terry on Aguero and they'd literally wear Aguero like a hat. Lukaku can compete with those kinds of CBs.

There are exceptions, but most have struggled. Auba has done ok. But Gundogan, Kagawa, Mkhi, Dembele, Gotze, Sahin and Błaszczykowski have all struggled once leaving them.

You can't really chuck them all in together, most of them have had problems with injuries

posted on 17/11/18

I think you can. There’s been injury issues with some of them but there’s also been the issue of them just not fitting in elsewhere. I think Dortmund are a pretty unique club in their ability to get so much more out of the majority of their players. It’s got to be admired.

You could use this generalisation with most clubs, but that Yellow wall seems to be bring something to the argument.

would say its because of the managers really. Klopp has followed this tradition on with Liverpool.

It might be like watching Hazard play England all the years ago!

But they've had a succession of managers since and a lot of the players have still managed to flourish, particularly in attack. The style and standard of defending in Germany does aid this.

Perisic or at least based on last season and the World Cup, mind, is still quality. Would suit PL footy easily

Cobsbollocks!

Why is there such bias towards foreign players when there are plenty of world class players in the prem like Harry Kane, Zaha or Sterling for example. I haven't even heard of this fella you are talking about, but its typical grass is always greener on the other side kind of attitude.

This is the kind of thinking which leaves us with players like Zhirkov, Mikel and Torres
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mikel won pretty much all there is to win when he was at Chelsea. 2015/16 season he was arguably our best player!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mikel was useless throughout his Chelsea career, and was one of our worst performers that season alongside Ivanovic.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, whatever!

Pulisic is interesting. He's one of those players who looks like he could take off any minute but his next big career move will define the player he becomes. Personally don't believe that's us right now, he's just not a complete enough attacker yet for us to trust him as a regular first teamer, which he needs to be at this point in his career now to improve.

I'm not gunna bemoan us signing him though, looks a proper talent. And to those who are worried about CHO, could sling him in on a one or even two year loan deal back to Dortmund as a sweeter, and given the structure they have at that club especially for young attackers (look at Sancho) it could be the best possible thing for him tbh.

Loan him back so he can ride the pine watching Sancho. If they ain't playing him now then even less inclined as a loan player I would think

Loan CHO to Dortmund, not loan Pulisic back to them.

posted on 17/11/18

Didn’t you have difficulties with Dortmund over Bats when they wanted him permanently? It seems unlikely they’d sell Pulisic and then take one of your players on loan just to develop them.

posted on 17/11/18

Or just use CHO and save £50m+ on Pulisic!
