There is no place for gambling in the Labdrokes Scottish Premiership or the Skybet Championship. We should ban all gambling adverts at half time during Rangers (shirt sponsor 32 red) against Celtic (shirt sponsor Dafabet). That would solve it.

Living overseas I don't see the full picture, but when listening to talksport, or streaming a match from uk it's apparent that the gambling market must be huge over there. Just wall to wall ads for gambling firms, stadium and shirt sponsorship.
I recall folks doing their accie on a Saturday and their 50p each way on the grand national, but from the outside looking in it appears to be much bigger these days.

the kids are already saturated with it ,and the sooner the government does something about it the better.

To be fair most EA games are a parasite when it comes to this - I don't mind if its a free to play game and they monetise it through loot boxes, or I pay for the game but then all the stuff in the game in unlockable through gameplay but to have both is a joke.
FIFA is probably the most prominent for kids and Fortnite but even worse is PUBG, that you can then sell this stuff that you get for real money...Gambling in its most insidious form in my opinion.

Gambling turns people away from the remembrance of Allaah and from prayer, and pushes the players to have the worst of attitudes and habits.
Gambling is a sinful hobby that wastes time and effort, and makes people get used to laziness and idleness. It stops the ummah from working and producing.
Gambling pushes people to commit crimes because the one who is penniless wants to get hold of money in any way he can, even if he has to steal it or take it by force, or through accepting bribes and cheating.
Gambling causes stress, illness and nervous breakdowns. It breeds hatred and in most cases leads to crime, suicide, insanity and chronic illness.

At the risk of being an ignorant non-parent, why doesn't someone just tell him no? Unless it's his own, earnt money of course, then maybe it's time to start charging him rent so he realises what money is actually for....and if he's paying rent, and still has enough to waste on games, well, starve him out.

Now, I've no real problem with Islam, and why not, but for this poster to just copy and paste from some other site indicates to me he either hasn't actually read the site he posted from or hasn't understood it sufficiently to put it sincerely in his own words. Always found the gambling companies sponsorship of football as a bit dodgey. Theoretically they could do an offer to back the team they sponsor at a stupid price like 20-1, and encourage the team through sponsorships payments, maybe to not try so hard. Now that would be an extreme case of match fixing, but the potential is certainly there.
Oh, and I'm guessing a "loot box" is some way of extorting money from lazy kids who don't want to earn their progression through actually playing a computer game before telling their friends how much they've achieved.
