How’s the health Dublin?

Morning Dublin. My first home game of the season.

I’m predicting a dour 1-1 draw, but it all depends on which Everton turn up. Let’s hope for a dull 0-1 victory. That’s as high as I’m willing to let me hope get.

Got a strange feeling Vardy is going to to “rested” today.

All I hope is we don’t just lose with a whimper again.

New year, same old pessimism from me 🙃

Eldest boy left dublin on st.Stephens day to go to Australia for a year or so ,but they got over to see me before Christmas which was great,lots of smuggled

Happy and healthy new year my friend and to all enjoy the game mersey. I remember going to Everton just after we had sold them our Gary and we won 1V3 great afternoon.
I thing all the clubs are suffering from eight games in December at the place the modern game is played.
so i expect some changes forced or not Vardy up front its going to a chance for the counter attack football if we have the legs in us.

Looks like a 4-3-3 with Ricardo as a wide forward?!

No that can’t be right

It's a team to stop Everton's far superior midfield. Same midfield 3 that helped stifle Chelsea and City. I would have perhaps had Iborra instead of Ndidi. Interesting to see if Choudhury moves over to the right or if it will be a solid 3. Ricardo in a more advanced position with the shackles off and fewer defensive responsibilities. Not sure on Ghezzal but Maddison and Gray were poor on Saturday so I'm not surprised they have been dropped.

Ricardo has looked good as an attacking winger when he's been pushed further forward before. Him up against Digne will be a key battle. Good chance to hit on the break when their full backs go forward.

You can’t drop your best creative player by an absolute mile unless he’s injured. We don’t have an alternative. He is our Mahrez right now and like Mahrez, at times he’s poor - but he’s our main hope of creating anything. This looks like waving the white flag to me and just trying to grind out a point.
