Finishing second to fourth is the same. Would prefer Liverpool win nothing. We're not going to challenge for the title this season so what's the point in wanting Liverpool to win?
City. At least with City you discount their trophies as being thanks to them winning the lottery. Plus they are a lot further away than Liverpool in terms of overall trophies won. The scousers are a proper club that are well run and any success that they have is fully deserved.

Just goes to show how much people hate Liverpool and it’s fans
The more league titles City win the stronger they will get and the more players they will attract. They will end up running away with everything which is why i find it strange that Utd fans would want that. Being the 2nd best team in your city must not be easy but to be completely dominated year in year out is going to happen at this rate.
Irrational but deeply set tribal enmity dictates that Liverpool have to lose. I'm from the 80s. Liverpool symbolise all the disappointment of my formative years as a fan. All the kids at school who weren't properly into football supported them.
I acknowledge they are playing lovely football and have a lot of characters who are quite hard to hate. And that 90s kids who didn't support United had good reason to turn into the sad, embittered ABUs they are today.
