Well what do you think will happen?

Can they give us a points deduction? No, they can't and even if they wanted to, it would be thrown out once we took them to court - it just WILL not happen.

So maybe a fine? Yeah maybe - so what? Will it disable our promotion push? I really very much doubt it.

Lets all go down the pub, have a pint and wait for it all to blow over....

Rean an article yesterday about MB. When he managed a club in Argentina. Was in a spot of bother & a load of fans turned up at his home. He came out with a grenade & threatened to pull the pin

WHAT A MAN !!!!

Go on FA give it a go

****disclaimer**** I do not propose he does this ever again

The FA/FL will have to be seen to be doing something in the light of Bielsa admitting to spying on every opponent so far.

Bielsa's masterstroke yesterday (which pre-conference nearly gave me a heart attack thank you very much MB!) was that he clearly demonstrated the insignificance of the information that such spying could produce when compared to the detail they routinely collect from other sources.
Hopefully that will make it harder to justify a points deduction.
MB will get a fine and I reckon the FL/FA will have to introduce a proper rule about spying with proper punishments in order to be able to stop the practice in the future.

Yes Donn let's make rules up as we go along and apply them and a points deduction retrospectively - unbelievable.

That twaat Jenas was going on last night about it being not in the spirit of the game. I am amazed that in a professional sport that every advantage possible isn't gained including going watching, where possible, the other team training.
Strikes me as professionalism more than anything.

If the spying was so insignificant, why was he doing it? Every team in the division will be calling Radz today to ask what MB did for their game with us. More complaints will be made. I love MB but I can't see how he can stay on.

I have mixed opinions on whether the press conference was a good idea. One the one hand it has raised the profile of the issue, which isn't helpful. But on the other hand, he has told the FA/FL everything there is to know and challenged them to find any reason to sanction him or Leeds.

Sky's behaviour is despicable. Maybe they have an anti-Leeds agenda because AR has been critical of Sky? Some of the comments by pundits have been hysterical and I don't need to repeat them here. Thankfully the quality press have been far more sensible including a superb piece in the Times by Matthew Syed on Monday.

My worry about the FA/FL is their ability to invent rules whenever they are under pressure. In particular I fear they will use the cowardly catch-all "bringing the game into disrepute" to punish Leeds. Of course if any laws were broken or any specific football rules were broken, we can rightly expect some sanction, but I expect that this isn't the case.

It's a weird one. Not really sure what is getting investigated when we've come out twice now and said that it happened. We've been about as transparent about the issue as humanly possible.

Lubo... it will be the EFL trying to buy time by "investigating" the issue, but in actual fact they have no idea what to do... Beilsa's got them by the balls

I agree with much JackieCharlton has written, I too have reservations about how Bielsa's presentation and revelations will be perceived when and if the dust settles, it could come back to bite the club in the proverbial...it's got to be remembered that the media have an editorial agenda, for example Sky, to keep an issue boiling and keep tv viewers watching so I don't think it's especially against Leeds...they show a lot of the club on TV.

Most fans of other clubs have got their agendas, most opinions are biased and subjective, not to be taken that seriously, just another opportunity for cheap jibes.

Bielsa made that clear in his presentation. Basically, he showed that he had, say, 10 tonnes of info for each team, but that his own insecurity and anxieties led him to send spies out to pre-match training sessions 'just in case'. He got nothing new out of the spying, just comfort that he'd dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't'.

If you think Bielsa has to go, then you're spying on this board in the disguise of a Leeds fan and you ought to go too!
