Homer at the Little Richard concert...
Homer: PURPLE RAIN!!!!!
Little Richard: SHUT UP!!!!!
Homer: Heeheehee, Michael Jackson told me to shut up!!!!
Billy corrigan - smashing pumpkins
Homer Simpson- smiling politely
I havent read the thread but i enjoyed
Homer licking the toad
Bart being a daredevil
Special mention to (Troy McClure) - Voiced by the actor no longer with us btw.
For all the brilliant lines in it, the bit that still cracks me up is when Homer goes to clown college and his trousers get caught in the spikes of the bike as he’s slowly going past Krusty

Family Guys better
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Says the youngest poster on the thread.
Family guy is great but not a shade on the Simpsons.
American Dad is far better than Family Guy.
The Simpsons is the daddy though.
Eh...the episode Bart says " eat my shorts "
Or the Homer says " doh" episode
I watched a couple of new episodes recently and really enjoyed them. Some very funny moments.
But it's hard to put your finger on why it's not the same as it was. Sometimes it feels like the characters are somehow too conscious of themselves, and of what's expected of them, eg Homer is too ready to be Homer. Sometimes it feels a bit rushed too. But neither explanation seems adequate.
On a side note, it's unsettling that Homer hasn't aged in the 20+ years I've been watching the show, and so I am now older than he is
Best Episode - You Only Move Twice
Best Moment - Skinner and the Superintendent
Best Quote - "A garage? A garage!? Oh-lah-dee-dah Mr Frenchman."
"Well what do you call it?"
"A car hole."
Also some of the cleverer ones I didn't get as a kid, like with Smithers & Burns.
“What's wrong, sir? Did I get some in your eyes? The shampoo specifically said ‘No more tears’.”
''A lovely promise, but one beyond the powers of a mere shampoo.”
“I think women and seamen don’t mix, sir.”
And I, for one welcome our new insect overlords.
Prinskipper skipple! Pringdiggle skimpster! I found something!
Kamp Krusty is another great episode. The drove a dump truck full of money up to my house. I'm not made of stone.

Yes! That was one of the other ones I only got as an adult. Fantastically deadpan. Any modern show would have to hang on that line for a minute so the audience knew how clever the writers were, but classic Simpsons just slipped it in there.

Yeah I used to be a big American dad fan but some of the more recent stuff just seems like the writers got high and wrote whatever random crap they felt like at the time.
South Park is the only cartoon that hasn't seemed to lose it's touch.
