Nonsense, woah. Take a chill pill dude. I'm just interested in fellow fans opinion as to how people rate Eds decision to appointment Jose, at that time.

Huh ?

He was a betrayal of what the club stands for both in football philosophy and the way he carries himself

Thankfully he was sacked before he did any more damage

So you would miss out on a league title or champs league rather than appoint him?

What a ridiculous article.

However, It was as a very bad appointment at the time, for the very reasons you mention, of which many of the smarter United supporters at the time expressed concerns about and were proven to be EXACTLY right. But the Jose fans boys wet their knickers over the appointment and spent the next 3 years in denial lapping up every little piece of his nonsense that came out of Jose's gob. It became very clear that under Jose United had no chance of winning either the CL or PL in his first 2 seasons or within the next 10 years for that matter due to his antics and in fact we regressed over that period as City and Liverpool got stronger, and he should have been removed well before he did.

Oh and BTW Ed is an equally incompetent buffoon as Jose was about running a Football Club and he too should go.

RDD, no. I would not. I was against his appointment. I could understand why we needed a change. LVG bored us. Jose ended up doing the same when he promised something different at the start of each of his first two seasons. But he turned out to be as boring (depending on the view, some now remember LVGs time more fondly).

Ed made a mistake midway through last season. And that was to offer to extend his contract.

Ed isn't a football savvy man. This has been found out with how agents have played him and used him. There have been times where we have scouts frustrated due to not being heard.

Out of all our big signings under his tenure only Zlatan can be deemed somewhat of a success and Pogba will if he carries this on.

Now, the more pressing matter is how long before you are banned again, RDD?

Imagine you are Ed. Its 2016 ,

Ok, imagining I’m going back to 2013 though. Laughing with my city boy mates...’haha yes cubby old bean, I know nothing about football, those stupid yanks appoint me...a polo fan to runs football club, haha”

Now I take the elevator up to the roof of the gentlemen’s club, the lift help, Geoffrey holds the door open. “ wonderful night Jeffrey, all I can smell, is money!”

Then I stand at the edge , and jump off.

There, saved the club years of pain.

So what you're asking is if Jose wasn't Jose and was actually good would you appoint him?

I dunno, maybe. Who cares?

Nonsense...

I laughed at that, Baz

Yes RDD, it was a bad appointment at the time as I told you yesterday, and as I said when we did it.

Essentially I'm asking was Jose the right appointment at the time. Fine if you think otherwise.

Who were the better candidates?

posted on 2/2/19

Jose did well in his first two seasons and we were improving from the last bore of a manager. But in season three the club sabotaged his progress by not continuing to back him and it all ended in tears

So to answer the question. Yes but only if he gets all the backing he needed

Its easy saying after the fact that it was a bad appointment, but I'm not seeing many alternative names being put forward as better candidates at that time.

There you go RDD. You have got one poster to back you up.

Nobb.

He was backed as well as any manager.
Didn’t he spend around 300 million?

posted on 2/2/19

No one is angry RDD. Just telling you the facts.

Do you agree with Nobb that Jose wasn't backed by the club? Only an idiot would think 400 million wasn't a manager being backed, don't you think. Dude.

No. Ed did. He negotiated the fees and signed the cheques. Not sure how that is Jose's fault.
