historically you are right but the tide is turning in London and Manchester.

My idea of "recently" perhaps needs refined

So to summarise, the Reds use to be good but now it's the Blues ruling the roost.
Apart from Merseyside obviously.

I'd say 10 years ago in science is still pretty recent, don't be so hard on yourself.

NPE, I'm not denying you're currently better than Arsenal, but that doesn't make you bigger or better overall

Not tonight
"Researchers found that those who wear red tops, jackets or clothing score 10 per cent more in any competition than if they were in another colour.
Experts believe that red could make individuals and teams feel more confident as well as being perceived by others as more aggressive and dominant."

More aggressive.
This effect is an actual true psychological phenomena.
The best study of this was looking at video games and how teams in red have a statistical advantage.
Most explanations of this due to the colour red being more aggressive and domineering

Overall no we still have a lot of catching up to do, despite the CL we have over them.
In terms of modern day however we shet all over them and if the next 15 years are similar to the last 15 (big if of course) we would have probably caught them up in terms of the overall picture.
These sorts of studies always make me laugh.
Correlation does not imply causation.
As if the results of reds vs blues would be bang equal. Surely one has to be higher?

Exactly, no ones taking that away from you, we're just looking at the bigger picture. There's every chance you will surpass them one day.
Cardiff were more schite in red though.

Err, when did Arsenal win the champions league?
Oh wait they didnt, Chelsea did
That said, I dont define bigger by the number of trophies a team won thirty years ago, or in some cases, pre Suez.
I define but actually winning trophies in the present, Liverpool’s recent record is no better than a provincial side and in the past five years Utd and Arsenal have been serial underachievers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we bring the CL into it, we have to add Forest's two trophies.
