I’d say you are looking at around 350m with them 5 players

I think having greenwood as the only backup striker would be a huge risk given he's had no first team experience.

I do think we could con someone into spending 40-50million for Lukaku, a Chinese club could be silly enough to spend 20million on Sanchez, rojo might get 10millon back etc, we wouldn't make much on sales but would bring the overall cost of the summer down a little.. buy now so we don't have to spend so much in the future (like city did the summer before they won the league)

Very good point, could put martial through the middle when Rashford isn't available and have Lingard come in, I already thought it was unrealistic we'd spend the money needed for the team above so forgot all about a back up striker, not sure how cheap king or someone like that would be.

If Rashford gets injured then Martial can move inside, then you have Greenwood and Lingard as options for the wide positions.

Defo need at least one top signing out wide...

Pepe or sancho needed! I do think we need 1 or 2 midfielders too, Herrera and matic have been brillaint but against top top sides like PSG, we was outclassed in midfield and couldn't control a game like they did, not against that level of opposition.

I don’t think that squad is good enough to challenge, and you’d be relying far too much on players hitting the ground running and young players consistently performing when they are yet to show themselves capable.

It could potentially be a great team in the future, but not next season.

United maybe need a senior player around the 25-27 age range in all three areas. Koulibaly and Kante would be achievable in my opinion if we spend silly money.

Your midfield doesn't have anybody capable of properly controlling a game though.

Why sign a RB to play ahead of Dalot as well? I've seen this suggested by a few. I get "it's good to have competition for places" but surely we need to see what Dalot can do given a good run of games first rather than signing somebody to play ahead of him.

Those two players aswell as our right side being sorted.. RB,RW.. would seriously look good, we can only dream, I'm hoping we haven't become tight with funds for transfers and the only reason we didn't sign more in the summer was because we didn't trust Jose with the players he wanted..

Fair point but dalot looks good going forward, caught out a lot defensively, we could cover right back and left back so would have plenty of chances to get into the side still.

I praying Ole just goes all out and plays him ahead of Young in the next bunch of fixtures. Young was utter schit yesterday.

There’s going to be a lot of making do in a few positions next season, despite them being areas that need addressing. Short of signing an absolute worldy in attack that can carry a team to ridiculous heights, we won’t be challenging for the league next season. People need to stop getting so carried away by our good form in the league. It’s going to take a lot more than a few signings to get us back to the top.

Yeah Dalot just needs to play now.

I look at other clubs, Dortmund for example and they're giving chances to a really good young full-back in Hakimi and they're letting him make mistakes.

This is what we need to start doing with some of our younger players who can maybe offer more quality than some of the senior players.

Yes they'll make mistakes but we could reap the rewards in the long run.

I look at this side and can barely see the difference with your July suggestions for this season.

De gea

Fabinho/Toby a/bailly/Sandro

Fred/matic/pogba

Sanchez/lukaku/sessegon

Premier league winners?

At least you're consistent.

I’ve not been that impressed with Dalot from what I’ve seen, to be honest. Though he’s not been given much of a chance yet so I’ll reserve judgement. He doesn’t appear to have great athleticism which I think for younger full backs is important due to them not reading the game as well as more experienced players, pace gets you out of trouble a lot in that position. Might be a while before we see a player that is ready to provide the level of performance needed to challenge at the top.

Can't even remember that comment but Jesus Christ what a random and terrible team in areas, everyone makes mistakes though..

Oddly enough athleticism is something Dalot seemed to be renowned for in Portugal.

Was he? It’s not something I’ve thought since watching him for us. He’s got a good burst of acceleration but doesn’t have the pace and power a lot of premier league full backs have.

I suspect that given Young was given a year extension that next season will be more about bringing him through, rather than signing another rb, unless we are just aiming to use him as cover for both full back positions.
