He was partying the night we beat PSG so maybe his character is questionable haha

You can offer him a a huge signing on fee or a free trip to Disney Land, but he's signed for Barca, so it wont matter much.

Another one to do Messi's donkey work for him

Yeah he's not come out of all of this looking well but we don't know the full story. I've read things like PSG are punishing him for not renewing with them and that's why he's been acting the way he has.

He'd be down my list a bit of midfielders I'd like us to get but I wouldn't be disappointed if we signed him, especially when we'd only need to pay him a signing on fee.

That's the problem though, you weren't speculating, you said it was it was a fact and then laughed because i may be hopeful of United signing him.

You are clearly on the wrong website.

Because Messi doesn't do assists?

Yeah fair point about how PSG have handled it. I think he has a lot of quaity and the sort of attributes we are lacking in the centre of the park. Juve will probably get him they love a free transfer.

Yeah that seems about right.

This would be the kind of low risk signing that makes sense. So that's that ruled out then! Ed will want to pay a fee I'm sure so we can make it back in shirt sales.

I don’t think it’s low risk when you look at the negative traits he has. We’ve had problems with contract negotions for years with our players and he’d likely be even harder to deal with. This is probably why he hasn’t found a club yet. Bet he thinks he should be getting paid on par with Messi.

Nobody said that Baz, I didn't even say Mundo was reliable, all I did was provide information. The only opinion I gave was that he made sense as a signing.

You have purposefully misinterpreted every aspect of the article, probably because you don't like the speculation.

Low risk in terms of fee and wages (if we're not silly) I meant and even if he was a massive flop we could get his wages back in a fee I'm sure.

If his attitude is bad though then we probably shouldn't touch him but Cantona was hardly an angel before he came to England either. Not comparing but sometimes players can find a 'home'.

Diafol, problem with free transfers is that they tend to command silly wages, and we are bad when it comes to handing out silly wages. I get what you mean, though.

I honestly don’t care how much people are pure at United as long as they want to play for the club.

The money is either invested into the club or goes to the glazers, I know what I’d prefer.

No worries. It would be a big signing on fee and wages you'd imagine (like Ramsey). Don't think it would be the worst transfer though if we could get him on board. Juve will probably get him though as they love a free like you said!

posted on 14/3/19

So the club should keep handing out unjustified contracts just because you'd rather the players get it than the Glazers? It doesn't really work like that.

posted on 14/3/19

I'm hoping under Ole we'll bring the wages down a bit. The 'star' players will still get the big bucks of course but I'd like to see us get young, hungry players in as well who'll be on less wages to being with until they really 'deserve' it.

I understand the Glazers point to a degree but we can't set a precedent either that we're willing to pay silly wages all the time.

posted on 14/3/19

Problem is we've already set a precedent. The owners argument, for any club, makes sense in theory but in reality it's not that relevant. The Glazers won't all of a sudden start putting the surplus from a more sensible wage bill into their pockets.
