I'd say he's both a forward and a playmaker. Starts most games on the left of a three but certainly isn't limited to that position. Everything goes through him, so he's definitely a playmaker and this is where he differs from the other two mentioned.

I've never said he's not a playmaker, he is a forward though. Just by virtue of how formations work.

Same with 11 Firmino's vs 11 Lukaku's.

Would Belgium swap Lukaku for Firmino. Doubt it. Would Guardiola swap Sterling for Hazard. Again, doubt it.

And here lies your understanding. Formations are for computer games and Sky graphics.

They change with and without the ball, different players will operate in different zones (again with and without the ball) so comparing Hazard to Suarez, as you have done, shows your limited understanding imo.

You're again talking about natural talents rather than how a player uses them. I can accept that Hazard is a more skilled and talented player than Sterling, but Sterling uses his talents better and has surpassed Hazard as a player this season.

You're twisting what I've said. I didn't compare Hazard to Suarez in terms of position, I compared them in terms of influence and what Suarez did with a limited team compared to what Hazard does with a 'limited' team (Although I'd say most of the Chelsea teams Hazard have played in have contained much more talent than the Liverpool team Suarez played in)

And Hazard is blatantly a forward, like Toordude also just said. We play a 4-3-3. We used to play a 3-4-3 and a 3-5-2. Belgium play 3 up front. Hazard always plays in a forward position.
