Just read this:

Since breaking into the Celtic team, Tierney has played 14,233 minutes of football for the club, an average of 41 games per season. In January 2018, it was revealed Tierney had played more minutes so far that term than any other top flight outfield footballer in Europe.

Quite the workload for a player still only 20 at the time, regardless of his unrivalled dedication to the Celtic cause.

Expectation - Sack Gerrard and look to next season. Not bothered whether we finish 2nd, 3rd or whatever now to be honest. Dropping Tavernier for the remainder of the season is a must in my opinion, along with Worrall. Would probably look at giving some of the youth a shot.

Reality is we're stuck with the Scouse Murty and we have yet another huge rebuild to carry out in the summer.

Tierney needs to leave Celtic to achieve his potential.

Which is a shame for you guys really.

i agree, sadly.

however, i dont think he will go anywhere until we lose a league, or get 10.

Yeah of course he needs to leave to improve overall, which he will but another 2 years here takes him to 23 years old.

10 in a row in the bag and he leaves with a statue.

Suppose it depends on the offer that comes in? How many chances do you get to join a massive club if they come knocking with a big bid?

I imagine he'll want to stay for 10 and I don't see him as the type to push for a move, but still if one of the big clubs comes in you have to take that chance when it comes.

I don't think a big club will come in right away anyway mate.

I suspect it'll be a top 10 team in England or a team in Spain/Italy outside their top 3 or 4 to take him.

I hope he gets a right proper rest this summer, it's badly needed for him as those stats show. For a boy at 21 to play more minutes than any other footballer in Europe is outrageous and Celtic need to start looking after him better.

Worth noting he's already broke his leg twice in his career too.

I'd tend to agree but I think they'd possibly look at the examples of VVD and Robertson and wonder if someone who is as much of a standout as Tierney is worth making an early move for. I'd certainly be tempted if I were at Man Utd, Arsenal etc (or a foreign club).

I'd prefer him to go to Spain or Italy as i think that'd be better for Scotland but if he were to go down south then Arsenal would be the best club for him football wise.

They tend to hate winning things though and he won't like that.

Dembele with the assist 1-1 with Super J's reserves

Dortmund were having a good look at him apparently as they were watching how Jezza Toljan is getting on. Dortmund would suit him pretty well but i would rather he stayed for as long as possible obviously.
