Butland? The lad who plays for Stoke? Are you serious?

Hugo has his faults, but all keepers fack up. Look at De Gea or Allison.

Unless we can get a world class keeper (say Courtois) which we can't then IMO he stays number 1.

I guess my point is.... The penalty saves Vs Leicester & Arsenal were important BUT all keepers save penalties... neither were very good pens TBH BUT would Butland have made that mistake @ Liverpool..... I very much doubt it

all keepers make mistakes. Hugo has had a poor season yes, but we couldnt sign better. Main thing that facks me off about him is his terrible distribution, for a side that facks around with it at the back, we could use better. Happy with him and Gazzaniga as our options for now, id like to think the club were keeping an eye out for a long term number 1.

haha ... No mate, no interest in Keane and I'll never believe in Sissoko. I think JWP is a good player who could excel in a decent team.. I actually think he's better than Winks and his set pieces are miles better than Eriksen's or Trips. I'd like Spurs to Sign JWP and Tielemanns to upgrade our midfield

Butland isn't the answer, but nor is Lloris... he quite simply cannot be trusted in any big game.... and the level we are now at, we have loads of big games.

his distribution is awful and it puts us in trouble and invites pressure on more times than I care to think about. this is a massive problem....

he is a decent shot stopper (apart from things at his near post), but he makes far too many big individual errors,,,, look at the world cup final ffs... , and he isn't great under the high ball......

furthermore I have no idea why he is captain.. seems to have no leadership qualities and seems quite introverted....

also, the drink drive thing as club captain wasn't great and makes him seem like a bit of a caaaant...

get rid..... but needless to say the replacement needs to be an upgrade.. not jack facking butland

From a neutral perspective, I'd rather Lloris than Butland and I was glad we didn't sign him when there were rumours of us looking at him to replace Karius/Mignolet.

We've been down the route of buying a good shot stopper from a team who are always defending and it's a completely different type of goalkeeping than being in a top 4 side and having to only make 1 or 2 saves a game.

This should honestly be Lloris last season as 1st choice. He is not world class, has is a liability. The odd good save doesn't change that. I'd even be happy for Gazza to have a go.

On the transfer topic, seeing more of Grealish, he really is a good player. I'd love us to sign him, easily the best player in the championship and IMO I'd have him over the others we have been linked with. Class player.

CM and CB as captain is a big thing for me. But we have a keeper as captain...and after him it will obvs be Kane.

Rob Green?

I know he is too old now but I think the most underrated keeper in the league is Fabianski. 33 I think but he is better than Hugo.

The only keeper I would be over the moon eith is buying is that young Italian keeper at Milan.

Lloris did fack up no question as he should have caught it, but there was an element of bad luck that it rebounded off Toby to go in. Allison made a mistake earlier where he should have caught it and it could have fallen to Dele, only he didn't pay for it.
