Oh so do I hippo, but that doesn't give it me. Now gloating when we win, if we beat City for example, that will give more than a little joy.

I don't think it comes down to the clubs as much as the oppositions fans when it comes to JA606

I don’t do it either manu so I know what you mean. I’ve got friends who support all of our rivals, I never begrudge them having success.

I think half of it was down to all the quad talk (by the media, not the city fans).

Football is a sport we love because of the banter involved. I don’t care how better City are, one has to laugh at seeing Pep run the touchline only for the goal to be disallowed. If we can’t laugh at that, we might as well stop watching football

I begrudge any success my mates' teams have. It's the only thing I have left now you b*******!

Put it this way, when the final whistle blows at the end of the season I'd rather be watching the team that doesn't win the title.

I didn't feel that way with Leicester or even Chelsea, but I'll admit to enjoying it when Liverpool or city fail

I think you're on a hiding to nothing expecting this on an anonymous forum.

Big difference between behaviour on here and how you'd behave with mates I reckon (and hope, for some people's sake)

When I was a kid we always went to Anglesey for holidays. My best mates dad always said, "The Welsh, small, dark and bitter". I don't know why he thought that, but a bit of Welshness coming out there Diafol?

For your sake Winston, I certainly hope that's true.

The feeling is mutual.

But yes, in my case it's definitely true.

Bit racist MU52.

I'm now going to hold that against you for eternity...

I see you are holding a grudge Pidier. It's much better holding a Campari and soda round about now.

I'm honoured MU52.

Get cracking on those 'nostalgia' articles for publication over the summer. They'll make a welcome break from a quiet board or a board full of transfer rumours or City and/or Liverpool fans lording it over us!

I'll do my best, I can think of a few occasions that were worth a mention.

Great stuff MU52.

Op is spot on with this and I'm a Leeds fan. I do love watching Liverpool fail, but I'm well aware of the gulf between them and my own club.

It is a ridiculous thing to do, especially when us as Manchester United fans were on the receiving end of it. For us to mock the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool for their fantastic campaign this football year is idiotic.

However, the 'mocking' comes down to our own inadequacies. We have very little to cheer about and unfortunately you have to seek the joy elsewhere.Like clubs have done before us, will do after us, is laugh at others when they don't achieve success that quite frankly they deserve.

I was thrilled with the idea of Manchester City being knocked out, to effectively end their dream of surpassing our treble.

All I have to do now is hope that City go on to win the league, just so I don't have to see 6 Netflix documentaries on how Liverpool achieved the greatest sports achievement known to mankind.

Very true, it’s gotten worse too.
